Anyone else get interesting presents?

Relatives bought me a paper towel. Admittedly, a micro towel wrapped up real tight but still a paper towel. Must have bought it from a gas station.

Not that I'm ungrateful or anything!

a used toothbrush

I asked for specific stocking stuffers. I wanted to create a little "necessities kit" to keep at work -- emery boards, dental floss, toothbrush, lotion, etc.
Instead of buying the requested toothbrush, my husband decided to save a step and just include the toothbrush that had been put back in its packaging but that had been obviously used. He assumed it was my toothbrush, but it actually belongs to my sister (she keeps it here for use during her visits).

That is nasty AND funny at the same time.

I got LOTS and LOTS of dark chocolate from the in laws, despite the fact that I have said numerous times over the years that I loathe dark chocolate. Yet I got POUNDS of it. :headache:

a hot water bottle.
i live in a flat,that comes with my job & i don't pay for my heating,its free!
tracy x

I got a notepad and a pack of pens through a White Elephant swap. It's not that I can't use them - it just seems like an odd gift.

I always get my wife one off the wall gift. :thumbsup2 This year it was glitter body paint.:lmao: Just what every 55 year old woman wants. :confused3

I got one of those "turby Towel" things for after you get out of the shower...and I LOVE IT!

Ugh. I think you win.

Not sure what to call it, a scarf organizer I guess. It's made out of metal , looks like an owl and you hang scarves on it. And no I don't wear scarves ever and I've never liked owls ...

Last year we got some wire coat hangers. Before that, some batteries.

We have a half dozen of those around the house between DD and me. Love them. :lovestruc

My MIL gave us a rather nice frame engraved with our names on it. It only contained my DH and DD's picture. My daughter asked her why she forgot me. :rotfl2:

Apparently, Mommie Dearest didn't make much of an impact on the gift giver.

NO MORE WIRE HANGERS!!!!!

My MIL got each of us (me, DH, SIL, BIL) a talking tire pressure gauge keychain. WTH? :lmao: Then she knows that I haven't had a candy bar since June (my kryptonite) LOL So she gets me a gift bag literally FULL of chocolate!!!! King sized Peppermint Patty, 2 King sized Reese sticks, 3 HUGE peanut butter cups, bag of Hershey Kisses, bag of Reese cups. Guess she thought I was going through chocolate withdrawal? :confused3 :rotfl2:

My brother decided I needed a Clapper. I'm not sure what to do with it. All of our TVs have remotes and it's easy enough to turn off a lamp with the switch.

DH got me the *exact* same thing this year as he did last year. :sad2:

Does that count as interesting?

One year my MIL got my husband a Dr. Phil book about dating relationships and finding the right person. My husband and I had been married for several years.
