:scratchin While watching the commercials for the soon to be released digitally remastered DVD, Cinderella, it appears that Cinderella actually has light brown hair in the original movie. At the very most, she may be considered a "dark" blonde. Yet, all over current Disney gear she is definitely depicted as a yellow blonde. I'm sitting here with my Cinderella key chain and she's a platinum blonde, but not in the movie commercials.

A conspiracy? Us brunettes want to know!

Just to add the 'original Alice' (in wonderland) was also a brunette but Disney thought she was too dull in the books so changed her to blonde!

I also thought that Sleeping Beauty had brown eyes in the movie-- I used to love that as a little girl because I'm blonde with brown eyes, which is unusual.

In merchandise, though, she's been made to be the standard blue eyed blonde.

Not really, my household consists of 3 blondes with brown eyes :teeth:

I just always thought that Cinderella had yellow blonde hair and never really thought about it as any other color.

Here she is from the original movie

BROWN hair!!

Now that I study this, there may have been some weight loss also.

She has definitely visited Dr. 90210. :rotfl2:

Where's the redhead Cinderella?

I don't know, but if they turn Jasmine blonde, I'm starting to vacation at Universal! :earboy2:

I noticed the consipiracy, also. :rotfl:

I hadn't seen Cinderella in years. But, my 2yo dd got a Cinderella book and loves it, so I dug out my VHS copy of the movie and put it in for her. The first thing I noticed was the hair color.

Her "pretties" are bigger now too.

Cindy has definitely gotten some cosmetic surgery...but how else do you think she looks so good at age 55??

:rotfl: You and me both!

Anybody remember the first Mickey? He has changed quite a bit as well. I think Disney wants to the minds of little mice on what mice should REALLY look like. It's a shame. He's so hip, wearing those little tuxedos. Poor mice everywhere are looking for little tuxedos so they can be just like Mickey...but they never will. It's sad really.
