Children's Place Retail Stores signed a non-binding letter of intent to buy Disney's money-losing Disney Store chain in North America. The chain has been on the block for more than a year. The Disney Stores on 5th Avenue in midtown Manhattan, at the Disney theme parks, and on the Disney studio lot in Burbank, Calif., are not part of the auction. The profitable European Disney Store chain is up for sale separately.

I found this at the end of the story about the Disney PCs:

I've heard the Children's Place was interested in the Disney Stores a couple weeks ago -- I guess it just took a while for an actual agreement to get signed. :)

Thanks for the heads up, piglet33!! Interesting to see how this has been moving along. Again, thanks.
