Interesting - Just printed SW - Boarding Passes

I had signed up my husband and my DD8 a couple of months ago for early bird check in and then about a month ago went ahead and signed up myself and my DD4. This morning I printed out our boarding passes and I have A21 and A22 and my husband has A28 and A29. Since my husband was signed up first shouldn't he have had the better numbers??? I thought the system worked by checking in those who signed up first for EBCI. Anyways just thought it was interesting!!!

Maybe it's the fact that you have a 4 yr old in your group that you got an earlier boording pass?

That's the way it's supposed to work. Wonder what happened. I know that I bought my dh's fare back home when SW opened their window...about 6 or so months out, and bought him EBCI. When he checked in last Sunday,he had A36. I was really surprised.

Maybe it is the fact that I signed my 4 year old up with me. My parents and my sister are coming over on Saturday and they signed up at different times also, I will be curious to see what numbers they get!!!

we posted elsewhere that this happened on our last trip

lady and husband travelling, she had booked EBCI when she bought ticket, she was in front of us at A28 or so, husband who did not have EBCI. She checked him in at the 24 hour period and received A16 for him

it must have something to do with cancellations which then open up those boarding passes in the early A's to anyone checking in at regular time of 24 hours

Just happened to us going from Chicago to Jacksonville last week. I got EB for my husband and sons when we bought the tickets, and on the day we bought the tickets it happened to be the day they released those travel dates . Yes I was sitting waiting at 10:00am for the fares to be released LOL. Added my ticket and EB 4 weeks later. I was A19 and they were A38, 39, 40. So why did I bother buying EB 6 months prior? Not sure the system really works as they state it will.

My theory is that it depends on who prints their tickets out first. So if I have EBC and my DH has it on a different reservation-I will get the better seats if I check in first. I noticed this the last time we traveled.

We were all on the same reservation so all boarding passes were printed at the same time. Now my name was listed first on the reservation so maybe that has something to do with it, but then I would think we would have all been together.
