Have you met someone interesting while visiting WDW? Last August, my sister and I were at WDW and met twins who were ladies in their early 70's. We met them on one of the buses and visited for a short time. They travel to WDW every year for 2 weeks for their birthday. Sometimes, family members join them but never for the entire 2 weeks. This is their time together. I believe one was a teacher and the other had been a school counselor. They were having a wonderful time and said they always loved their trip to WDW.

I've met so many nice people at WDW. I tend to chat with people in line, so by the end of the day I have lots of new "friends". The only one that comes to mind right this minute is the nice fellow that drove us to sign our papers for joining DVC.

He told us all about his wife and grandkids. He was so sweet and told us a lot about working for Disney. It made DH and I think it might be a fun place to work after you retire. He said the grandkids LOVE to visit them, because they go on cruises or visit WDW. ;)

I met a little girl from Brazil who was 6 last March and she was SUCH a sweetheart. She was the only member of her family who could speak English. She spoke for her mother, father, grandmother, and older sister. Quite a busy little girl! I couldn't ride ToT as I was pregnant at the time so I just sat there and chatted with her while Chris & Mosey rode. Her grandma took polaroids of us and gave one to her and one to me. Such a great family. Looking back on it now we should have exchanged addresses so she and Mosey could have been pen pals.

I remember the P.I bartender who looked like James Marsters(Spike on buffy).

DH is a yakker, so he's always striking up conversations with all sorts of people. During our last trip we met a nice young couple from Indiana who had driven 24 hours straight to make it to the only showing of Spectro during their visit. We sat next to them for 2 hours before the parade. We sent our DHs for snacks to tide us over.

We shared a bench at the MGM parade with a family from England who owned a pub. They go to WDW at least once per year. They gave us their business card and email address. We have heard from them a couple times since. They are interested in DVC ownership so we are going to brief them once we FINALLY go home!

But the one I remember, is the gentleman who was sharing a bench with me Last Feb. waiting for the Fireworks at MK. He said the last time he had been to WDW was in 1975! He was amazed at the new roadways and Hotels that had "popped UP!";) I asked him if he had been to Animal Kingdom as yet, and he said no he hadn't, where was it? I explained it to him, and he assured me he would go.:o

I remember last year at the MK, I was waiting for the parade when this bunch deaf men joined me. One looked familiar. He asked me if I was from Miami. Turns out he was a friend of one of my profs at MDCC and had met me before though him. We chatted for a long time before the parade. He had since moved to Orlando whic is why I hadn't seen him in a long time.

Standing in line for Big Thunder we met a young couple in their 20's from out West. The guy was around 28 and he was on his 27th Disney Trip!

Met an older couple while watching Tapestry at Epcot. They were from Florida, she and I both commented how we didn't think the Tapestry parade was all that exciting (sorry for you Tapestry fans). I asked her if she ever went on the DIS website and she said - Yes those people are nutty fanatics aren't they? I said - YEs they certainly are a crazy bunch- LOL! As we were walking away my oldest DS said - Isn't that the website you are on ALL the time Mom? We both started cracking up.

Twice now I've met employees of dentists who were on an all expense paid trip to WDW - 4 gals from IN and 2 young ladies from Australia. What a perk! Wish my employer did something like that!!!
