Interesting chat with WDTC CM about FT package

Well, I was calling for rates for a friend of mine, since she hasn't had time. While on the phone, he asked if I had plans to utilize the FT package. I said that I was a DVC member as well as an AP holder, so I really couldn't. I told him that I was a little upset with the release of this package and since it was SUCH a great deal and I couldn't take advantage of it, like my friend. I also mentioned how she goes usually once per year, but likes to book the packages. He said this package wasn't designed obviously with the AP holder in mind, but they are also not trying to target the usual once a year WDW visitor. They are after the first time visitors!!! I guess they trying to hook a whole bunch of new guests to keep return guest counts up and climbing. He also made a remark about how their "competition" must feel about the package!!!! It was pretty funny!!! Anyway, my friend was trying to check-in on October 30th, and there was ALMOST nothing left in the deluxe resorts!! I couldn't believe it!!! So, if you want the FT package, book now, since rooms are filling up!!
