Ok, rent or buy? Was it worth using? I think DS who is a special needs child would love hearing Micky talk to him but $60.00? Is it worth it? Should I just rent one and see how it goes? How is Mickey once he leaves Disney? Is he still fun at "home". Can Mickey be washed without "killing him" I have been checking ebay to maybe buy one before we go but the prices are MORE than in the parks. There is one listed for $67.00 isnt that more than in the parks? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Pal Mickey is $60 to buy or $8 a day to rent (deposit is $60). You can rent him one day and if you decide to keep him I think they give you a new one and your rental fee goes towards the purchase. I have one and at home he still plays games and tells (very corny) jokes. You can't really wash him--just surface wipe with a damp cloth. Since he's electronic you won't be able to put him in the washing machine or dunk him in the sink. He is heavy for his size because of the electronic components and batteries. Also, it takes some practice to learn to squeeze his hands the right way.

We rented him for a day and it was plenty of time!!!!:teeth:
He was fun and cute for a small time. I would say your son will have a ball renting him then give him back. I think the novlety would wair off

Thanks for all the info. I think we will rent "him" and see how it goes. I for some reason thought you could take out the "electronic" parts and wash him....DS likes to chew so we will have to keep Mickey attached to wheelchair but away from his reach. Again, thanks for the info !!

I'm planning on renting one for a couple days during our trip, but since we won't be going back for a couple of years, I'm not going to buy one. I don't think my kids would play with it, and they will accept that Pal Mickey has to go back to the shop for another little boy to play with tomorrow.

We love ours! We bought it and we still play with him at home!!

A friend of ours just borrowed it to go to the World and she said they had a blast with him.

Going back in a couple months and he is going with....
