Interactive Budget Planner for Wedding Guests

Hi guys! I designed an Interactive Budget Planner for our wedding guests to use to estimate their travel costs, and I thought I'd share it with you guys in case you'd like to adapt it for your own wedding guests.

It's a Microsoft Excel workbook. (Yes, I went anti-Mac this time in an effort to make it more accessible for our guests )

The first tab is the worksheet, and the other tabs contain the lookup tables for the dropdown menus. You may certainly replace our resorts with the ones you have chosen for your room blocks.

Thanks Carolina! Our cartoon artwork was actually a result of a really crazy coincidence. I do a lot of graphic design stuff for my company, and I sometimes purchase stock photos on this website called istockphoto.com. One day I was on the site and decided to keyword search for "wedding". Among the results that came up was an illustration of this cartoon bride and groom. It looked so much like Brian and me that I had to do a double-take! So, I bought the artwork for around $12 - $13 dollars (what a steal!). It's a "vector art" file, which means that - with Adobe Illustrator - I could go in and make changes to it. All I did was to flip Brian's hair so the part would be on the correct side and then I removed the original background and replaced it with the "castle in the clouds" background.

So, you could certainly try to search istockphoto and see what comes up. You may have luck like we did!

By the way, I discovered you website and planning journal awhile back . . . you have done a fantastic job so far. I can't wait to hear how your wedding turns out and to see lots and lots of gorgeous photos!
