Inspired by "Were you in high school band". Do you keep in touch with HS friends?

Absolutely. My best friend has been my best friend since junior high school, as well as a handful of other friends. And my DH and I went to school together too, so yes, you could say I still keep in touch with my high school friends.

I also have a close relationship with 3 of my best college friends. I'm a great believer in maintaining old friendships.

I am still good friends with one even though she lives out of state now, and keep casual contact with a couple of others.

Actually, this year was supposed to be our 10 year HS reunion so I thought I would reconnect with some lost friends. But it looks like nobody wants to step up to the plate to plan it. I thought about it, but now it is late in the year and I wouldn't even know where to begin. Isn't it the job of one of the class officers? I guess we'll have to wait for our 20th.

Only one, she's been my best friend since first grade...we can never make one another angry, we just have way too much incriminating evidence about each other! Everyone else I could care less about. We always said when reunion time came around, we'd have our own reunion somewhere fun.

I used to run into people occasionally, then I moved away and didn't have to worry about it.

I met and started dating DH is highschool.

My DS's godmother is a friend I've had since 4th grade.

Another friend I've had since 3rd grade was my maid of honor when I got married, is DS's "aunt", and I will be in her wedding in January.

Another friend, who I met in highschool, is also DS's "aunt".

The three of us get together as often as our schedules allow (one is here, one in New Orleans, and the other in Texas). We do email almost daily.

There are a few other people I chat with every now and then, but nothing like the three I mentioned above.

DH and I both graduated together so I guess I keep in touch with him. Also I have a friend that I was in school with and we constantly keep in touch. She lives in New Mexico currently but we see each other (her parents still live in our home town), phone each other and e-mail all of the time. I do keep in contact with more of my college friends then HS friends.

I e-mail with one who lives in another state. Haven't "talked" to her or seen her in years. I was "friends" with another up until 2 years ago when she told me she wished she condesceded to me just one too many times! And that was the end of that!

I was in band in HS. I have one friend that I keep up with from HS. We were in choir together though.

I had a few good friends in high school and one that I was best friends with since I can remember....when we both moved away to our respective colleges, we kept in touch, but chose different paths. He became a partier, drank a lot, slept around, flunked out....I was a bookworm, studied all the time and ended up in WDW and film school.

Now that I am back in town I have seen him a few times (saw him today acctually)...he's finally growing up a bit and we are trying to keep in touch more now, after loosing contact when I moved to FL.

MOst of my godo friends are from film school and WDW...now spread all over the country!
