What is the worse house mess you have ever seen?
My friend and I clean houses one day a week. Last thursday we went to a house that is the worst I have ever seen.
The husband stayed home that day , before we got there he started picking everything off the floors , toys, papers, you name it.
This is a total pack rat family, two small kids ( both in school full day ) , SAHM. This is one of those houses were if you want to clean , you would not know where to start.
I'm the total opposite, if you leave things in my way , I will give you two warnings and if you don't pick it up , it just goes in the garbage, and I don't care if it's new. My kids know better now.
The funny thing is that this woman complained that she didn't have time to clean because she volunteers so much at the school. Last year I worked, volunteered at the school, and I still took care of my family and cleaned my house. She could have at least admitted that she doesn't like to clean!
But I know one thing, if I was a SAHM , my husband would not tolerate a house like that and much less to have to pay someone to clean it AND pick things up himself before the cleaning lady came, I think he would pack my bags!

I gave up mess and clutter for lent---it's killing me. I can't wait until I can be a slob again who doesn't do laundry for a week and likes to leave dishes until morning.

Actually, I really do like things clean--and having to clean everyday due to lent has gotten me in the habit--I don't think I can ever go back.

I'll admit I'm lazy when it comes to house cleaning
I really really hate it
I find it so time consuming and boring
can you tell I'm in the middle of a cleaning weekend
and it sucks
we are a house of two adults, one eight 1/2 yr old, one ten month old, one dog, & one cat
no one seems to pick up after themselves on a regular basis and I swear it takes 5 minutes for the whole house to look like a disaster struck
If I could find someone I trusted and they were reasonably priced I'd pay someone to clean my house
once or twice a month
it would be so worth it to me

I hate to clean, too. I also have a hard time throwing things out (but I am getting better at it). Housecleaning is just not one of my priorities. I work parttime from home, so I'm home quite a bit. But my husband knows better than to give me grief about the house. I'm his wife, not his housekeeper.

Our house used to be very clean and organized before we had kids. Well, it's still not "dirty" because that would skeeve me out. It just gets messy. I can go around picking stuff up for an hour, and it still looks as if nothing's been done. Drives me crazy! I could just never be a compulsive housekeeper, straightening and cleaning every day. It's boring and tedious and thankless.

We recently had the WHOLE house tiled, and got rid of about 5 peices of furniture--they were cluttering up the house! So, we have new tile and less furniture for me to lay things on!
