I have a grand-daughter named Madyson (when asked her name, the answer is "Madison- with- a -y -not-an-i"

I have a nephew named Austan (a variation on Austin....my sister's creative way of honoring my father without saddling the boy with "Stanley" or "Stan" )

Actually ...it's Gaelic...it's not an "odd" spelling or mispelling, it's just a different language .....but I agree the pronounciation is not what you expect when looking at it!

Geoffrey ( think it is suppose to be Jeffrey). It ways made me laugh.

I also know 2 kids names Brighton/Bryton (one girl one boy)

Spelling wise- Id have to vote for me and my twin siblings (triplets) Allehandow Jeardeen (AJ) Allyschea Rachelle (Ally) and Amalie Racquel (changed it to emily)

I work in an almost asian dominated primary school...Believe me taking the register (roll call) 1st thing on a monday morning at the start of a new school year..(sept 6th) is not to be recomended...whingeing moaning kids saying"that`s not how you pronounce my name"oh my goodness.... sorry but this is what your called from now on.. ....no only joking ... it can be a nightmare though & if you don`t get the name right it can be a proper nightmare for them too....a lot of the asian names are really pretty.... it`s just learning how to pronounce them...Iam chrissie with a i e at the end but you would be amazed how many people spell it with a y (chrissy) or even miss out the h & spell it with a y (crissy).... strange....spose it`s where you live really & how they would spell your name....

Well, I was named Kathaleen-no one puts the a in it. I named my son Jeffery and everyone wants to spell it rey. It was my maiden name so I can spell it the "right" way. My daughter is Vanessa and people want to spell it Venessa.
