Don't miss the Margaritas in Italy (great lime taste!!), and the Kir Royale in France! Yummy!! :):):)

Ah yes..... I have yet to complete an entire Drink Around the World in one day. We usually split into two days... we aren't as young as we used to be....:(

Mexico- Frozen Strawberry Margarita for me, Dos Equis for DH
Norway- Ringus Beer for both
China- Plum Wine for me, some kind of Tsing Tao beer for DH
Germany- Reisling wine for me, Becks beer for DH
Italy- Sparkling Red Wine for me, Italian beer for DH
USA- Bud Lite all around (they have Sam Adams, too)
Japan- Plum wine for me, Sake for DH
Morrocco- Moroccan beer all around
France- Fischer Beer for both
United Kingdom- Stella Artois for me, Bass Beer layered with Guiness beer (Black and Tan) for DH
Canada- Maudite beer for me (have to go into Le Cellier to get it) and La Batts for DH.

Make sure to drink plenty of water in between, too! This event can lead to a pretty nasty hangover! Also, you will be absolutely THRILLED that Disney provides transportation back to the resorts (if you can find it;))

Please join the "Lushes of the World" thread (LOTW) on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies" board ....or whatever that board is called. The thread is titled "Monorail drink-a-thon!"

Italy, Germany, and France have wine flights which are fun! We liked the Gewürztraminer wine in Germany and the Rose in France. Have fun and stay hydrated!

My favorite find last trip was a frozen Tangerine Daiquiri in Morocco. It was great on a hot day :D - here are some of our favorites:

Mexico - strawberry margaritas
Morocco - tangerine daiquiri
Japan - hubby enjoyed a Kirin beer
Rose & Crown - hubby's traditional stop - he got a 1/2 yard at the outside counter, once with Bass, once with Harp - I don't usually get anything here - I'm interested to try a Welsh Dragon now :D
Germany - can't remember now...
Hubby also had a Casablanca beer - but I can't remember what country that was in.

I guess that's all I can think of now - we generally enjoy going back for our favorites, and we, too, must do this adventure on more than one day - too many countries at once for us. :D Keep the great ideas coming!

Can you tell me more about the drink mentioned above in France? TIA!

I enjoyed trying different wines in France, Italy and Germany.

And in Japan, I really liked the Kirin beer - so much so that it's what I drink at home now! :drinking1

We start in Canada with a Moosehead, and now I have seen post they have the Unibrew beers which are all fantastic.

In Italy, sometimes a wine flight, sometimes the Banfi Rosa Regale and when we are in the mood for something wonderful..Limonciello. A wonderful treat and the best we have found is served right there at the wine tasting counter. We even had our local liqour store order it for us, so we could keep a bottle chilled at home.

In Germany, of course there are the wine tastings, although they haven't changed the wines out in a while and the ones they are testing currently are not the best Germany has to offer. So, I usually opt for the special Strawberry infused drink, and then we go out of the wine room, to the outside eating area and get shots of Fieglings, and fig vodka, to die for. If they don't have it sitting on the counter, ask for it, they seem to run out quickly.

In France, at the champange counter we usually get a Kir Royale, champagne with cassis in it. Very nice.

If we stop by the Rose and Crown we pick some of our favorite beers.

The kir royale in France is a mixture of champagne and creme de cassis (a berry flavored liquer). I'm not sure if it's raspberry or blackberry ... I think it's blackberry.

Limonciello???? Something lemony??

I am so not a drinker but some of these sound really good.I ususally go for the hard apple cider in the UK. The Woodchuck green apple cider on a hot day is great.

Are the Mexico and Italy margaritas different?

Tangerine daq.? I will have to try it.

Thanks for all the great replies! I am feeling a bit thirsty now... :earseek: :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 I will have a drink for everyone!! :earseek:

Cheers! :flower1:

Limonciello..yes, lemony..a lemon liqour..very nice. Smooth, served chilled in a shot glass. One taste and you will be hooked.

Creme de cassis is blackcurrant - kind of like Ribena (in case you've heard of that!). It's quite nice!
