I was just wondering if you frequent visitors still always bring your camera to WDW and keep it with you all the time. On my last trip, my 16th, I rented a locker in Epcot, and put my camera in it for a few hours, leaving me camera-less in WDW for the first time. What a strange, but freeing, feeling! And the fun part was that I had several people approach me with questions/directions-I guess they figured that anyone in WDW empty-handed must work there or something. So I was wondering-should I still bring my camera every time? Anyone ever not? If you leave your camera at home (or hotel), have you ever wished you'd brought it with you?

I am quite sure that the minute I left my camera somewhere my son would do something awesome or we would see someone or something that just should have been in my scrapbook. I have never gone without my camera..

I have however found one with a belt case so I am hands free and dont have to worry on rides where I put it. I love the case. You just run it right through your belt. If your not wearing shorts with belt loops run it through the strap on your fanny pack.

We go two or three times a year. We are never without our digital camera or digital video camera. Every time there are new experiences to capture!

I always have my camera handy...since Mom needs a w/c in the parks, I keep it in the pack on the back of her chair. I might not carry it if I actually had to physically CARRY it around all day.

I left it behind for the most part on my last trip. It was certainly a free, relaxed feeling.

We had started to leave the 35mm after about 8 trips but with the digital it fits in my bag so no prob carrying it.

My camera and I can never be parted on ANY vacation! Granted I am not as frequent a visitor to WDW as many people on this board, but I can't fathom leaving my hotel room without it. The second I do the best photo opportunity EVER will occur! I also carry it with me everywhere in Las Vegas (which I've been to 11 times, and you can't take pictures in casinos) and when were recently in Mexico at an all-inclusive I had to have it with me at all times. We saw the same thing everyday, but I couldn't leave my camera! I think I'd feel naked without it!!

Have I left my camera back at the room?

Yes!

Have I regretted it? Almost every time....I try not to go anywhere (on vacation that is) without it.

In Disney I take a roll per day, and my DH complains that I take the same pictures every trip! I don't care, I take as many as I want, especially with the kids and characters.

Now the video camera stayed home last trip and we didn't miss it. Now when I bring it, I just video tape the resort/pool area. I can't be bothered lugging that thing around and we never watch the movies again anyway.

I always carry the camera with us. I have a mini-dv, which is nice for taking digital pictures and by flipping a switch, making movies! It doubles as a camcorder and it is very light.

Although we've been to Disney several times, you never know what new things will pop up where. Having kids, it is fun to watch them grow in those Disney pictures too. We look at old albums and my kids laugh at each other when they see pictures of them as peanuts wearing Mickey ears!

1) We have the digital camera always.
2) It is just a little bigger than a credit card.
3) It fits well into a shirt or pants pocket or fanny pack.
4) Besides stills, it can also do 1-5 minute movies.
5) Wouldn't be without it.

6) Have never used all the memory.
7) Minolta Dimage, with two 256mb memory chips.

We've been to Disney around 20 times during our lifetime so we don't bring a camera anymore. I love the freedom of not having it. We have Disney pictures from previous trips which seems to be enough for us. That being said, we DID bring a Christmas during our first Christmas trip last year. We had never seen the decorations before so we wanted some pictures. Otherwise, we go camera-less and love it! ;)

4 trips to WDW and 1 to DL last year and DH still managed to run out of memory on our last trip!!

We have 2 Sony's so had to go off property to get the memory sticks.

DD has the new Sony that is about half the size of a candy bar so she can get the pics when she and her siblings are by themselves.

We even have to take a waterproof camera as well!!

I must say that I always bring my camera with me. I was there the year before last and my camera broke on the 2nd day..... neddless to say I was very upset. I pouted for 2 days cause I couldn't take any pics. I do get alot of repeat pics, but I also get alot of new stuff too.

The only time I was able to bring my grand girls to WDW I took my video camera and got alot of cool stuff of them. We were there for four days. The next to the last day I didnt know but left it on when I put in back in the case. when it got to the end of the tape it rewound to the begining. The next day I recorded all of fantasmic. I ended up tapeing over all the other days and just got the show:eek: I was sooo sad. I have no video of them except for 30 sec. of them on the marry-go- round. It was a great loss.

Camera fits in Video Bag but we as time goes on (this will be the 5th trip in 365 days) the pics and video are getting few. But I can't imagine going to WDW with no camera.

I have a little digital so it fits in my bag and I carry it everywhere except the water parks (and with the PAP I am planning a trip to both water parks just to take photos). I usually don't take pictures of people unless they're performers, so I wind up with different angles and different weather photos of mostly the same buildings and rides. It's amazing what a difference a blue sky makes. (And unless they're bad pictures, I keep them all).

No, I don't always bring the camera. It is so freeing not to have to walk around with a lot of stuff.
