Rubber Bands...never heard of elastics.

I asked my boyfriend if he called them Rubber Bands or Elastics, his response...

"What the heck is an elastic??"

I'm originally from the Boston area, I call them elastics. I've been in South Florida for a long time, I now call "tonic"..."soda".
My husband worked with all Germans for many years, when I asked him what he calls them, he said, "Gummi Bands". But in Ohio, he called them rubber bands.

"Pocketbook" ... another New England word (I think).

Obviously.........A New England thing. Elastics here!!
