I'm curious about everyone's stories and hope you do not mind sharing.
I was actually at home asleep. A little bit after 9, my mom called me and told me to turn on the news since she had heard something about a plane hitting the WTC. Since she was driving around, no radio stations really had any other news. I turned on the news and said that they thought it must be an accident.
As we were talking, I continued to watch the news and told my mom that someone must have recorded the accident, because they were playing it on the screen. It took me a few seconds to realize that it was actually the second plane on live tv. I started saying, "Oh my God....oh my God...." and explained what had just happened.
My ex was in his police class, and didn't hear anything until he called me about 11 a.m.
While I didn't go to Disney at all that day, I did have to go to Orlando to pick up our shipment. The traffic coming from the parks was amazing, a constant stream of people.
