Inspired by 'Ignored' threads, calling all invisible posters!

Do you ever post a question in a thread and no one answers?

Do you ever make a point in a thread and then someone that posts after you makes the same point and gets the responses?

Do you ever make a comment directly to someone in a thread and they never answer?

Then you too may be an invisible poster!

Seriously, I think that it happens to everyone but some days seem particularly harsh. Does it happen to you?

The second example happens to me all the time. I'll post something pretty smart for myself if I dare say, and then one of the other "intelligent" posters comes and pretty much says the same things, and they all answer that poster!!!

Too bad you guys can't see me yelling at home "i said it first!!"

I usually figure that watever I said or asked was so brilliant or so stupid that no one thought it necessary to answer.

Oh there are days. You could start a thread about losing your job, your house burning down, your wife running away with the mailman, and your dog getting run over by a train and you'll get a few replies. Then someone else right above you will start a thread saying they stubbed their toe and they will get 5 pages of responses.

That happens to me a lot! But I try not to let it bother me.

I think in some cases people post sob story after sob story about their tragic life. In that instance people probably are tired of being brought down by said poster. Surely something good happens to them occasionally.

I try not to let it get to me, but then I see a thread called "ignore this thread" and it has more replies than my thread

DisneyArk, t happens to me all the time and some days I definitely feel like I'm on every ignored list out there. I really think it's just something everyone has to deal with even those with a zillion posts (mostly invisible) like mine.

Hmmmm....I try to post something on the threads that just start out to keep them on the front page until they get more posts. I like to think it might have something to do with the time of day you post. People seem to show up around here and post in 'clumps'

OMG - I am ignored all the time! (Insert big, giant pouting smiley here!) On the rare occasion that I start a thread, it gets like 3 replies, tops. Oh well, I am much more of a lurker anyways.
