Inspired by 'Ignored' threads, calling all invisible posters!

I'm glad I found this thread! :wave2:

I was just complaining to DH about this. I responded to two threads lately with information, and was totally ignored! Everyone else is still carrying on like I wasn't even in the room.

I know how you (and everyone here) feels. Very rarely do I get responses. But it's like that in real life, too, so it must be me. *sniffle* Honestly, I have yelled out answers and the person will keep asking away.

Another ignored poster and person.

PS Duncan dog says he feels ignored too, especially when he sees all these posts about Spencer and Monty and Dodger and Simba, etc. He just wants the love! :teeth:

Hi Duncan! He looks like a very cute and pettable (is that a word?) doggie.

I can't believe that there are so many invisible people here!

Fantasmic303, you mentioned posting that some information is incorrect but then discovering later that the incorrect stuff is still being discussed. I know what you mean! It's like some people are so determined to believe something that they just blank out on your post. :confused3

Hey, we have leaves falling on Market Street in two weeks. (Paper leaves blown from things attached to the light poles) Our excitement knows no bounds!!! ;)

(I'm not invisible!!! :Pinkbounc )

That is almost scary. I loved Celebration, we just happened to get detoured in 2000 when all the wild fires were going on and we came in the back way from Kennedy Space Center and saw the town. Now you are making the town seem like "Smallville".

I just want to add that Dan Murphy never ignores anyone.

It's a very small ville! LOL! If you get involved and pay attention, in no time you will know everyone's business! ;)

This weekend was the art show, next weekend the town-wide "Porch and Yard Sale" and the weekend after that paper leaves. There will also be hay rides, face painting and such. Then in November we celebrate the beginnning of the town with "Founder's Day Weekend." We take a town picture - really! - and then have a street fair followed by fireworks.

It's a nice place to live!

Do you ever post a question in a thread and no one answers?

Do you ever make a point in a thread and then someone that posts after you makes the same point and gets the responses?

Do you ever make a comment directly to someone in a thread and they never answer?

Then you too may be an invisible poster!

Seriously, I think that it happens to everyone but some days seem particularly harsh. Does it happen to you?

Happens a lot to me. Sometimes I check to make sure I wasn't put on global ignore :rotfl2:

riiiight.

Paper leaves? We drove through Celebration again this year and it is very nice. Definitely not for everyone though.

Chad, you may just be on universal ignore, at least by one group. ;)

So if I am invisible can I quit worrying about my weight? :earboy2:

Oh contraire, OM, LOL. I have probably a dozen or so on mental ignore, just cruise past them here. And have had, in the past, two on the ignore feature here, but they are long gone, booted many times over, so now none on the ignore feature.

Constantly happens to me. I'm getting a complex!

The second example happens to me all the time. I'll post something pretty smart for myself if I dare say, and then one of the other "intelligent" posters comes and pretty much says the same things, and they all answer that poster!!! :rotfl:

Too bad you guys can't see me yelling at home "i said it first!!" :rotfl2:

LOL I think I heard you yelling!

The thing is I'm a bad, slow typist and sometimes I'll put a lot of thought into a post and it's ignored. :rotfl:

Happens all the time. What I really hate is when I take time to answer someone's question in depth (usually about planning an event, as that's what I do for a living), and they never have the courtesy to say thanks or even acknowledge what I wrote.

I think that some people preceive themselves as invisible and they really are not.

You have to remember, Monty and Dodger posted something like 50 times a day before they got recognition. Their owner must have suffered a lot before they got that status. But now they can glow in their well-earned momentum.

Or if you type something out in great detail and submit only to discover that half a dozen people had already answered while you were typing. :rotfl:

There are times when it would be nice to be invisible though like when you type something wrong by accident like I did on another thread. Oh well, none of us are perfect. Well, except for maybe a few posters. :teeth:

That's not invisible - that's just slow! And it happens to me a lot!! :rotfl:

My kids pay no attention to me until I start typing something, and then they are all over me. So then I never get to finish what I was typing.... So when the kids are around I usually just lurk.

I haven't been here very long but I noticed I have already killed several threads. Its good to know I am not alone! :goodvibes
