Every other week... Doesn't your house get dirty in between? When I clean my own house, it seem like two days later the place is a mess. Do you clean yourself the week she/he doesn't come?

I would love to have a housekeeper, but I don't know if I could afford one weekly. If I got one every other week, I would be afraid it would be a waste of money.

My in laws have maids that only come every other week, and their house never seems dirty. However, it is just the two of them, they don't ever cook at home, and both work full time jobs. I guess that would definately make it easier. My house can't go two days without being trashed, between the two kids, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and dh I am constantly cleaning.

I think I could get by with every other week and just do "spot cleaning" with clorox wipes, etc. in between. I clean my own house and do it weekly, however since I keep things picked up pretty well there are times I get lazy and just kind of wipe around things.

Mine would get dirty so that is why the come ever week.

Our cleaning lady comes every other week.

It's only my husband and me and a dog, we don't have kids. We both work full time and we don't spend a lot of time at home on the weekends.

We keep things picked up in between, but we don't do any real cleaning except for the kitchen after meals. But by the end of the 2nd week, we're really glad she's coming.

We used to have a cleaning lady who only came every 2 weeks and there were lots of things that I still had to do. I ended up having her come every week for the main level of the house since that level gets dirty faster and then she'd do the whole house every 2 weeks. That worked ok. I'm a SAHM and don't have any cleaning help now. If I were to ever have cleaning help again I think what I'd prefer is to have someone every week for the main level of my house (kitchen, living, family rm, dining, study, foyer, powder rm, stairs) and then I'd do the upstairs on my own. To me that would be more of a help than having the whole house cleaned every 2 weeks.

We have 3 kids at home (plus one in college), 2 dogs, plus 4 cats, so we create messes quickly.

We use to have a housekeeper come on Thursdays and again on Monday. Now we have a cleaning service once a week.
