For the most part, commerical are a necessary evil, but every once in a while there's a truly GREAT one that comes out.

What are your favorites?

My favorite: I really loved this TiVo ad they had going a few years ago. It had a guy standing on a golf course talking about his "masculine itching". Joe Namath (I think) came up with this big tub of goo and was about to demonstrate how to use it when the picture froze and they came on to tell you how TiVo could help you avoid seeing things you'd rather not see. It always used to make me

I love the VW Rabbit commercial that starts out with the one white Rabbit and one black Rabbit.

My mom loves the Advantix commercial with all the puppies.

The sports commercials are the ones I remember most

one for ESPN with the croc hunter (Steve Irwin) chasing the Florida mascot through the offices of ESPN.

The current FORD commercial...

You beat me to it, Robin. Oh, and specifically, it's got to be the long version. "Are you ready for me?" Yeah, baby!

That's not the only Ford commercial that's on my list either. I get NY channels on my DirecTV. I love the Ford commercials with Derek Jeter. I figure that they're probably only in the NY market.
Following my NY Yankees' theme: I also like the Pepsi commercial with A-Rod driving the Pepsi truck in the baseball game. "A-Rod, if you're ever interested, there's a future for you in the beverage distribution industry."

OK, the one I like lately is the Levi's commercial where the guy is sitting in front of his TV watching a live news report where the police are chasing some guy. Turns out the guy they're chasing is right behind the TV watchers house. The bad guy grabs a pair of jeans off a clothesline and the guy watching TV runs like the wind out of his house and tackles the bad guy and grabs his jeans back. I think it's hilarious.

The Holiday Inn Express commercials. Those crack me up! I wish all commercials were Holiday Inn Express commercials

The Taco Bell commercial with the parents and the adult son sitting around eating tacos and they're saying it's "Good to go.." and the dad says, "Good to go...get a job!" I guess there are a lot of us parents of 20yo's who can identify with that one

My three all-time favorites...

Favorite Disney commercial...kids wake up in hotel room, get ready quietly while M&D sleep in the other room...open door so softly, and there are M&D waiting on the edge of the bed all dressed and ready to hit the parks!

The one where the Pepsi delivery guy opens up a fridge door in the convenience store, makes sure nobody is looking, pulls out a Coke, and they all fall out. All the while, "Your Cheatin' Heart" is playing over the store's loudspeaker. I think this came out during the Superbowl a few years ago.

Another one from a while ago...The ad for one of the office supply stores, where the kids are looking absolutely miserable while the dad is gleefully filling up the shopping cart with school supplies, to the tune of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."

Guess I like the ones with songs, huh?

The only TV I sometimes watch is the Red Sox, and they have a lot of Southwest Airlines commercials. No matter how many times I see this one, I laugh. They show an office building, then a bell ringing, then a bunch of adults running out of the building as though it is the last day of school, acting pretty child-like. Gets me everytime.

There's a Dairy Queen one that makes DH and I crack up everytime we see it. It's for their Flamethrower burger, and it has this guy who is eating it for lunch in his office. Everytime he opens his mouth, flames come out, which freaks him out, so he screams like a little girl and produces more flames.

I also really like the Aflac duck ones. They play them a lot during MN Twins games on FSN.

Southwest Airlines has great commercials - I love their whole campaign. One of my favorites is one of their football season ones - the one in the grocery store where the cashier calls that he's open, and the guy in frozen foods nails him with a pass to the chest with a pineapple.
