Sailed 3x, docked 3x, definitley factored in our decision to return to DCL next summer even though we were ripped!!!

Wow, so Jan really doesn't look like a good month to sail if you want to go to Castaway Cay! Plus it can be darm cold that month there!

I've been on 10 cruises and we were able to dock at Castaway Cay every time. We've gone in February (twice), August (three times), September (twice), October and December (twice). I've actually been to Castaway Cay 11 times, since we were on the DVC member cruise in February and went there twice.

Knocking on wood that we keep up the winning streak in December!

We have sailed 4 times on DCL.

Once in September, twice in June and once in August.

We have docked at CC all four times.

Beautiful weather both times, sunny, calm seas, warm enough water, not even a sprinkle of rain!

Seems like the consensus is WAY below the "50%" statistic that was touted earlier.

January 2000 -- Did not dock

Cruised once, failed to dock once.

We had an interior stateroom and we awoke on CC morning after we should have already docked. We noticed that the boat was rocking and figured that we hadn't docked yet.

A short time later they announced that they were going to make a second attempt, again no luck.

In a very short period of time they had new Navigators out with a new schedule for our "Day at Sea". For the most part the Day at Sea activities scheduled for the next day were moved up to that day. The crew did a great job of contacting us and letting us know about changed schedules etc.

The next day we were going to try CC again, but it was quickly determined that the weather was no better so we were given a day at Key West instead.

The weather was very chilly so wandering Key West in a light jacket was just fine, it would have been way to cold for most CC activities.

Hopefully we'll have better luck this December when I try again.
