Inspired by camp thread, How much do you pay for camp?

Well, after reading this thread I'm feeling like I got a great deal. I am also in Williamsburg, VA like OP. I found after a great deal of research a Christian Sleep over camp for both DDs for 5 nights (which is typical for a week here) for $160.00 each, they both attend a Music Day Camp (9:00-12:00) at the United Methodist Church in town for $35.00 each, and they both attend a Water Adventure / Safety Camp (9:00-3:30) at our Rec. Ctr. for $80.00. They were at a different sleep over camp for the past 3 years at a cost of $325.00 each, so I actually saved money and they got to go to more stuff this summer. The oldest actually leaves for the first week of camps on Sunday and they are so excited for their summer activities to begin.

DS and I go to Cub Scout camp each year. Cost is $110 for each person. It is 4 days/3 nights. We do a brat sale every year to offset the costs. I think the most we had to pay for DS, after fundraising, was $8.00!:cool1:

In Mississippi here
DS 14 attended soccer camp at a college the past two years and it was $650 for Sunday-Thursday, sleepover.

AstroCamp (at the space center) was $150, Mon-Fri 8:30-4:00, lunch included.

This year he is going to just a regular sleepover camp, Sunday-Saturday and it is $750.

Do you mind Pming me the name of the Christian camp and which Methodist Church. Thanks!:goodvibes

Sleepaway camps:

DD13 is at a 5day/4 night church camp right now- cost $250

She will then head to a two week sleep away ballet Intensive/camp- cost $1500 (approx.) $750 per week seems to be a pretty standard price for many of the sleepaway camps that we considered.

Day Camps

3 week Theater Camp with end performance- 9 - 4 M-F $300 plus the cost of tickets to performance and optional meal fees.

My DS6 attends a local city day camp for $140 a week. Includes tee-shirt, one field trip, 2 lunches and snacks. Brown bag lunch the rest of the time. He loves it: indoor/outdoor swimming area, fields, playground, indoor gym, crafts, games, movies, etc.

I had to put my mom in a nursing home this week so I put DS4 in a daycare camp for $125 for the week (8a - 5p) - no field trips and lunch is $4 a day. I think this is a bargain compared to their usual rate of $8 an hour.

Sleep away camps here in north Texas start at $1000 a week.

Scout camps I don't know about yet.

DD is participating a two-week day camp right now. It is run through our city schools and is called H2O. The cost for two full weeks, 10am-3:30 daily, is only $60! H2O stands for "Help to Others", and the camp focuses on volunteerism. For the first half of the day, the campers visit places like senior centers, food banks, cancer centers, etc., and help out. For the second half of the day, they do fun activities and games that build social character. The program is run by our city's Division of Youth, and we are SO thankful for it!:)

Wow- that's pretty unique and seems like a great way to heighten kids' awareness to certain issues. Wish they had a program here like that.

My DD's are doing a 3 hour M-TH program for 4 weeks through our school district that is $400 per child, so basically $25 each per day. They chose Gymnastics, Scrapbooking and Cooking as their electives but they had about 25 other options. We are on Long Island, in NY
