Inspired by being a thread highjacker- the OT thread!

You want to know something sad and strange? I will tell you all even if you dont. But while you are telling us Beck that you can't keep anything down since you are sick (i am glad you are feeling better though), Im kinda a bit jealous. If you can't keep anything down, then you didn't gain weight today. Sad and strange I know. Been dieting this week and I am just having a fat day I guess. UGH!

Oh honey- don't feel bad. Even if I kept nothing down for a week I'd still be chunkers.

Add to the fact that I'm deliberately trying to get pregnant and thus contend for Sumo events, you've got nothing to worry about. :)

But, i have those days too. SOme days I think- Dang, I'm not too bad. Other days, :sad2:

Had to add- I am sick, but haven't actually vomited. So- no perks there. Still chunky and nauseated. On the flip side, I wasn't tempted to eat things that are very bad for me. Unless cocoa pebbles count. I don't count them. Full of sugar, yes, but at least they are vitamin fortified and I'm ingesting milk.

OT- do you ever think about all the things you said (when you were a kid) that you'd do when you were an adult? For example: always eat dessert for dinner. Or, play your music at full volume all the time. Or, stay up late every night.

Do you actually do any of those things?

The one thing I DO do sometimes (very rarely) is skip a regular dinner and just have ice cream from a local custard place.

But honestly, I think it's funny how responsible I actually am. I still don't always feel like an adult.

There are some things that I said I was going to do/not do when I grew up. I do let the sweetpea have dessert for dinner sometimes and we have pizza for breakfast many times. Another thing I always said I would never do is make my daughter dress all girly and in pink. My mother did that to me and I hated it. So I make sure I let the sweetpea have her own style sense and choose what she wears, within limits.

There are also quite a few things that I said I was going to do as an adult that I have done. I was very shy and quiet as a kid and I hated it. So I was determined to be out spoken and be who I was. In my younger years I was so worried about being what everyone wanted me to be, I never had a chance to be myself. Now I do what I want, say what I want, and am who I am. And I dont apologize for that.

HAs anyone here read "The Time Traveler's Wife"? I love love love that book, and no one else has read it.

I need a new book to read. All I have been reading for 2 months are baby/pregnancy books. I need a mental break. Any suggestions?

Stacerita, whoops! Sorry. Princess Charming :), have you had your thyroid checked? If you are dieting and aren't losing weight, you might have one. You never know.

Becky, this coming-and-going sick thing couldn't be morning sickness, could it? (I'm hoping for you!)

Well, I've made and frozen four meals (with desserts), posted carry-out #s, done ALL laundry and arranged for dry-cleaner pick-up, cleaned the house and - THE SMARTEST thing I've ever done - arranged for someone to clean it the day I'll arrive home (I'm coming home to a CLEAN house!), cleaned the birdcage, set out paper and plastic plates, left lots of little notes that everyone will ignore.

I've packed my crap...I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! And Universal! :) :moped:

Now I'm like that kid in the commercial, too. Way too excited (and over-tired) to sleep. :goodvibes

Haven't gotten any sun, though. I'm as pale as a person can be. Hope there isn't a lot of sun in Orlando! ;) :sunny:

If you made it this far, anyone use the NuvaRing? I'm switching to it. Don't want to get too graphic, just a simple Yes or No. Is it difficult to insert? Doctor laughed when I asked if she could do it for me. Once again, I'm the doofus.

Amen to that, sista!

I see so many girls who are afraid to speak up and say what's on their mind for fear of being judged or not being liked or not being popular with the boys- or whatever reason.

Good for you for realizing it's great to be you!

What days are you gonna be in Disney World? It's bound to be sunny, we are very lacking in rain lately. :sad2:

Cold Sassy Tree. I recommend this all the time. A lovely story and an easy read. If you read it, you won't be sorry. You'll still be Becky! (a small funny there, but I think you'll like it.)

No- not morning sickness. My period ended yesterday. Boo. I wish it was morning sickness. I'd never be so happy to be sick in my life!

And yes- love the Nuva Ring. It's super easy to insert, and you can't feel it (and no, neither can he- I got asked that all the time). It doesn't have to be in any certain position- just put it in according to pkg directions, and you're good to go. That wasn't too graphic for ya, was it? ;)

And have FUN in Orlando. ANd yes- the sun was near unbearable. Wear sunscreen. I swear, I felt like the sun was sitting on my head it was so freakin oppressive.

Whew CB, I'm glad I'll still be me! ;)

I'll look that one up. I need something fictiony.

What I really need to do is write, but I haven't been feeling very creative lately. I'm thinking of doing a story about trying to concieve- the Conception Chronicles (unless that name is already taken). I have been toying with the idea of doing interviews with women trying to concieve, or those who want to tell me about their adventures. As a side project to my life. Who knows..

I wish I could send some of ours to you.

I'll be there tomorrow! So flippin excited!

I just read the funniest thing on another board.......

"Women of the DIS --- do what you want with your breasts but just don't hit me with them ok."

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think I am going to head for bed.

Have fun in FL, CB!!! I hope your trip is wonderful (and more relaxing than mine was!)! hehehe!

before bed, I will make a mental note not to attack people with my breasts. I know I can get a bit out of control with that sometimes. :lmao:
