Well, dh applied for a different shift at work (again). This one would be Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed from 7:30-5pm (or something close to that).

I am sooo hoping he gets it. It would be nice to have him home in the evenings.

He applied for another graphic design position close to us. Haven't heard anything yet.

It's hard trying to keep his spirits and confidence up! I feel bad for him. I know he hates the job he has now, but we need the $$ and insurance. And the job market right now around here is poo.

Ah, well. Just gotta keep trying!

I have a problem. I ran out of make-up today (foundation).

But, my bare essntials I ordered from Sephora won't be here until Tuesday! Ugh.

So, I am going to have to buy some in-between makeup, which sucks. I normally use clinique, but I don't want to buy another foundation when I have new stuff coming, and i hate dept store brands- they make me break out or look orange. Alas, I don't have much of a choice, though, because I have to wear makeup to work.

I wish I had that beautiful-even-without-makeup kind of skin.

There are some days that my skin looks great and I dont have to put anything on it. But then there are some where my cheeks look blotchy, i have dark circles, and my chin has a thing on it. Overall though, I never need foundation. A bit of "correction" for a spot or two and thats about it.

i never get acne but i feel like the color of my skin isn't right. i have to try extra hard to make verything ok, and its stnot.

I tried using one of the minerals make up. Its a powder you apply with a brush but gives you foundation like coverage. Im not crazy about it. I hate wearing that much makeup on my skin. I do always wear some kind of sunscreen or something with sunscreen in it though. And I always cleanse it. Got to take care of my skin if I want it to look good.

Stacerita- I am so jealous. I just have bad genes- and not-so-good skin. I wash my face every morning and every night, and I have tried nearly everything under the sun.

But, it's still not my best feature, so makeup it is...

Jealous of Stacertia, too. I have pink skin! Only half the DNA is Irish, but it took over. Pale skin and pink cheeks without makeup. My whole life I wanted even-toned, prefereably dark skin.
Never had acne, but the last few years my skin is getting scaly. Might be a good idea to stop washing it with Ivory soap? Dunno what else to use...always used the Ivory.

Becky, get the wild haircut! If you don't like it, it'll grow back...and if you do, you'll be in heaven. Worth the risk.

I keep looking at the bogart pics. I want a Bogart.

I've got a good sexy cut right now- I call it my rockstar cut.

BUT- I have decided to get fire-engine RED tips/highlights!! My stylist is thrilled with the idea. She can't wait.

I've always wanted to do it- but I have always worked somewhere conservative. Not now!!

Today at work was much better, btw- no office manager today- hooray!

Whew......the last of the guests left a short while ago and I just finished loading the dishwasher. Im pooped, but hey, the shower turned out great. I only have one problem though....I have a ton of food left. Any takers?
