Inspired by being a thread highjacker- the OT thread!

Mouseworshipin,
I wouldn't let you finish the day thinking your are a thread-killer! I will bear that weight, as I have broad shoulders :-)

No way- no one's a thread killer.

I was just out to eat with SIL.

Anyone here? I really should be in bed. I need to get up at 5:30 to get Aiden and I to Animal Kingdom at opening. :teeth: We're gonna get in and RUN for the safari. I hate lines!

Hey. Where'd everyone go?
One of the kids got a tiny cut on the head and there was blood everywhere. This is funny, because it JUST happened to my neighbor's kids.

Head cuts bleed like crazy, and kids freak out. So, I had to calm her down, clean up the cut and tend to it, wipe up the blood, and pour hydrogen peroxide all over the clothes - that's the way to get blood out of stuff, by the way. If it is fresh, you have a decent shot with enough peroxide and rubbing followed by a good, hot wash with 2-3 times the normal soap, and lots of rinses. :)

I thought that everyone runs to EE now.

MouseWorshipin, I always use cold water for blood. I thought that hot water would set the stain. I've never tried hydrogen peroxide. It sure is fun to pour on my cuts, though. :teeth: Yep, back to me being a cheap date.

My ds5 got some of the stuff at school that you chew after you brush your teeth to show where you missed. I loved that stuff when I was little!

BUT...he apparently went into my bedroom to look at his teeth in the full length mirror (can't see in the bathroom) and dripped the red stuff all over my lovely carpet! And I didn't notice it until the next day. I cannot find anything to remove the stain. Any ideas?

OH- I miss that stuff. But no idea how to get it out of carpet.

Oxi clean. I use that. If it won't come out with oxi clean or nature's miracle (although I don't think it's that sort of stain) then I don't know what to do.

Once when I was in the 2nd grade I flipped over my handlebars and cut both sides of my head- my mom was about 8 months pregnant and nearly fainted- I'm sure I lookd like I might die with the amount of blood coming out of those 2 tiny cuts.

Hey, just noticed your ticker Becky! I am SOOOO jealous..where are you staying at WDW? Are you flying? We fly through St. Louis to FL, I am still waiting for a good fare for our Dec. trip (although not looking likely with fuel prices so high!)

The neighborhood bully threw a rock in my spokes and I flipped off the bike and landed on the back of my head. Spent 11 days in the hospital and still have a big ol crack on the back of my head. My brain was bruised first in the front, then in the back, then in the front again.

So, you'd think I'd be one of those moms who makes the kids wear helmets. But, no.

:)

Hydrogen Peroxide for blood. I dunno WHAT for teeth staining stuff. :)

When I was in 2nd grade, I fell off my bike and hit the middle bar (have no idea what it is called). I started bleeding in a very private place...my mom was okay, but my dad was freaking out - he's the one that found me

Holy Cow...11 days in the hospital! Well, maybe you figured you survived the worst...that is why you don't enforce the helmet rule!

:cool1: Yeah- I'm pumped. No- we are driving. Dh and I are taking our nieces (3 and 5), and it was going to cost an extra $1000 to fly!

We're staying at Pop Century (I just got all my stuff in the mail today!!). I have stayed at ASMovies and POR, and I thought the girls might enjoy Pop. Plus, I haven't seen it yet. I can't wait!!! This will be my third trip, but we have never been with kids, so it's like brand new!

Not when you have small children!

And Oxy Clean can get out just about anything....

Ouch, MW! A bruised brain!?

You know- I was just thinking, I never really had any major accidents as a child. In fact, the only bone I have ever broken was my pinky finger.
