I loved Beauty's thread . . .but I was also wondering how everyone decorates the outside of their home?

We use only white lights on the outside bushes and icicles on the peaks . . . we have lighted deer and santa's sleigh, and a lighted angel . . .

We live on a corner and our house is the first thing you see when you turn up the street . . .DH spends hours making it look "magical" and I'm sure the UI company loves me for it ;)

I won't even tell you how many lights light up the outside of my home . . .:p

Oh that sounds gorgeous! Since we bought the new house I'm sure we will decorate pretty big for our first Christmas here. I'm thinking the icicle lights and possibly some lights on the front bushes. Since we have two stories now I think a Santa on top of the house would be so cute. We just had a new Lowe's open here and they have some of the best ideas for outside decorations. I can't wait!!!

We've had lights and all kinds of things on our house, I don't know what's happening this year.

Colored lights on the outside, along the railings and patio too.
Light up snowman on the front porch.
I'm not sure the correct name for these, the lighted silohouette decorations in the shape of Santa, snowmen, reindeer, etc. We have several of these hanging indoors in the windows and patio door and several outdoors on the railings and patio.
Several yard stake signs around the landscaping.
Wreath on the front door and wreaths around the coach lights on the house and garage.
DD wants to buy one of those huge yard Santa's that have a blower in them and lights. I think they're kind of neat too, so we'll see.;)

My dad goes all out every year...10,000 lights all around the house...no joke. We have icicle lights, plus lots of colored musical lights on the bushes and trees. He has made many Christmas wooden cut-outs (painted.) In our center yard Bambi and Thumper are sliding around on ice and into a snowdrift. :) (My favorite part!) On the side yard we have a life-size nativity scene. Around the house there is Santa with his reindeer (including Rudolph), an elf-house, a Christmas tree cut-out, and a snowman. We also have fake snow covering the grass, because we don't get any real snow. It sounds cluttered, now that I type it all out, but the cut-outs are not gaudy, they are really cute, and it all works together, somehow.

Our neighborhood goes all out for Christmas time. My dad is considered normal in our neighborhood, lol.
