I went to school with a girl named Candy Apple. Her little sister's name was Taffy. No lie.

I work with a guy named John Smith

I knew a football player in high school - a wide reciever named Chris Cross.

I knew a Chief when I was in the Navy named Bill Case. He had three daughters and his wife was expecting a baby. They had a girl's name picked out but not a boy's name. One of our co-workers asked him, "Don't you think you should pick out a boy's name just in case?" They had a boy. His name is Justin Case.

When I worked at Sea World the director of the Food and Beverage department was Bill Laughter. His daughters were named Gay and Joy.

We tortured my Mom when I was pregnant by telling her we were going to name the baby Seth....

Gosh, you all must live Up North! You're not coming up with very strange names. Pull up a chair, and let me tell you about some of the REAL names in my neck of the woods...

There used to be a little girl in my town named Tarantula. Over the years I would see her name in the paper now and then (good citizen of the week at her school, that kind of stuff).

I knew a little boy whose parents named him Budweiser--I can't believe parents would do that to their kid.

I knew another little boy whose first and last name together sounded like "cocaine." His parents swore they didn't do this on purpose, but nobody believed them.

I knew a little girl whose first name was Philadelphia.

There is a physician working in the hospital where I once worked named Sno E. White.

My dad was an elementary school principal and came across tons of odd names, but there was one that took the prize in all his years in education and I SWEAR it's true....

I went to medical school with a woman who is now Dr. Doctor. Both her parents were doctors, so I guess they are the Dr. Doctor family. I've known an eye doctor called Augen, another named Payne. I've known women who named their children "Placentia" and "Female", pronounced "Femally". One of my attendings in medical school was also Dr. Papp, but he was a cardiologist. One of our gastroenterologist was named "Ransbotton", which was mispronounce by the patients as "Ramsbottom".
