NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Just noting, I have another Chase card where I activated the giftcards.com offer in November and did not use it - on that card, it shows as expired. The Chase card I used for this December offer doesn't show the offer anywhere right now. Maybe you activated the November one on a different card and are looking at that card's expired offer? Just a thought. Or maybe you accidentally activated the November offer thinking it was a different Chase card?
I really, really don't think so - it isn't showing on my other Chase card (Disney card that I only use for and at Disney and for a very few select other things). The United card I have not used since Oct, and I only use it to purchase star alliance long haul premium flights every year or so for the mileage boost. I don't actively look for offers on either card, and I wouldn't have been too jazzed about adding a 5% deal on hard cards requiring paid shipping from GC.com when I get 5% off plus cash back quarterly on e-cards from Sam's. At any rate, it has been escalated, and we'll see. I feel confident they can see when the offer was added on their end.

Hate to say it but my Chase SW card also had the Giftcards.com chase discount disappear. It was activated and now its MIA... Not anywhere to be found. This has never happened to me before so I guess I'll also have to call chase tomorrow.

No worries. The terminology can be confusing sometimes.

Yes. Gift cards qualify with the exception of target gift cards. Many of us here do it all the time. (Make sure you save the offer before purchasing) and you will receive $15 a target reward that can be spent on almost anything that target sells. There are a few exclusions. You can’t buy another gift card with the $15 and I am pretty sure you can’t buy liquor or cigarettes.
I just capitalized on my spend $150 get $15 in rewards Circle deal. When I buy only DGC, the spend is marked off and the Target rewards typically post within minutes of receiving the emailed gift cards. Last night took around an hour so I was worried DGC no longer counted toward the spend for some reason.

If I mix and match shipped items and DGC, the spend only gets marked off after items are ready to ship I think. At least it's not right away like with DGC only.

If you used it, just wait. This is all normal and nothing to worry about.

If you hadn't used it yet they may have pulled it because it reached its redemption limit. Not sure chase has done that but pretty sure amex has. Either way, nothing calling will help with at this point in either case.

Weird question...my local Shoprite is out of any DGCs. My kid was in the habit of grabbing empty gift cards bc he liked the pictures on them and bringing them home. I have a few of these generic variable load DGCs laying around...empty...not activated. I think you see where I'm going with this. I mean...it shouldn't make a difference to ShopRite if it came from their stock or who knows where it came from as long as I'm paying them to activate it...right? Is that weird? It feels like it should work but I'm also a little tepid about doing it. Thoughts?
Just as a niche data point that nobody asked for...this did not work.

I handed the cashier the variable load DGC...the same one we see everywhere for 15-500...and it would not scan. Somehow I got lucky and there happened to be one more variable load on the bottom shelf...looking all tattered...that I then grabbed and handed to her and it did indeed work.

Both variable load DGCs were identical but I guess somehow the system knows which cards are supposed to be in their stock and only load those. JUST in case anyone was wondering.

Just received a giftcards.com Disney gift card that’s giving me an error when trying to add it to my giftcard account. Not too worried about it getting fixed. But it is a pain having to call and deal with it.

Yeah, with Amex it’s only gone if you didn’t add it. If you added it and it disappears from saved offers it still credits, like some sort of IT glitch.

Sounds like these “disappear” when the offer has been used/maxed and is processing. I wouldn’t have called if this was the case with mine - seems like yours will be just fine!

I got the giftcards.com deal a few days ago. I tried a few times to purchase through the PayPal app to take advantage of their offer as well, but the transaction kept getting refunded, so I finally just purchased directly through the giftcards.com site. My cards shipped on Friday, leaving from Illinois. I’m near Philadelphia, and today my cards arrived in…..Honolulu, Hawaii. I’m leaving early on the 5th so I need them delivered by Saturday the 3rd. I’ve bought some things on eBay over the past year that have been delayed for weeks at the wrong USPS processing facility. Combining that with this being their most chaotic time of the year and it adds up to me being stressed.

For those waiting on your Chase giftcards.com offer, mine is now showing in my redeemed section of the offers page. It has not posted to actual card yet. So, activated 12/17, purchased 12/17, then at some point, it disappeared, and now 12/22, showing as redeemed (and it wasn't showing earlier this morning because I checked earlier).

Did anyone else get a Target GC for your inconvenience during last week's issue with ordering online and the app? I answered their survey when I couldn’t access my orders and never got a confirmation email. I was frustrated but attributed the issue with their website getting slammed with traffic.

I got three emails early this morning apologizing for the inconvenience and they sent me a $20 eGC. It was very surprising as I did not expect any sort of compensation.

BJs Disney gift cards currently have an additional "instant savings" which provide a couple more % off. Looks like that extra ends 12/24.

Historically, is that IT for the bonus discount for gift cards for BJ's until next season? I'd rather wait until January to purchase, since I need a lot for DVC dues, but struggling to decide. . . or any other source for more than 5% either now or typical after the first of the year?

No one really knows for sure...I usually buy when I have the chance - especially when the discount is at least 10%.
If you know when the sale will be ending - maybe wait to see if BJs will send you a coupon. That's what I plan to do.

'I' was definitely wondering when you mentioned it.
The numbers they scan to activate must tell their system some way. Since you mentioned 'who knows where it came from' maybe that was the issue and it wasn't their stock.

🤞 Please let us know is how it goes for you

Well, we’re always trying to do better about being safe here so if you don’t mind answering - was this digital gc recently acquired from a known merchant (you know like Best Buy, Target, Disney- the usual suspects vs bobs online discounts or something)? Also, it wasn’t still sitting in your email?

‼️🚨It did not go well🚨‼️

Support is not responsible for any unauthorized use of your DGC and no transaction can be disputed, even with providing the original activation receipt. Upon asking Support to escalate the issue, they said they would only open an investigation when contacted by law enforcement after I filed a police report.

I purchased the e-gift card in November directly from Disney Store online in preparation for our trip. It exists only in two locations: scannable from my iPhone's wallet and in a locked note on my phone for copying/pasting into the WDW app. Both are behind Face ID, 2-factor authentication, etc. The gift card is not in my e-mail (also behind 2-factor), it is not in my Disney Gift Card online account (also behind 2-factor).

I am honestly in shock. I understand that gift cards are treated like cash and I've taken every security measure possible to keep this information safe. The transaction is "WDW Merchandise Mobile Checkout". Someone used my gift card number to make purchases on property using their Disney account in their WDW app and Disney cannot help.

My only guess is this was the first trip I used WDW's public wifi network in the parks, which I was connected to when placing mobile orders. Never again.

I'm not sure what else to do other than to strongly caution everyone.

File the police report online for whatever city they made the purchase in. Nothing will come of that but you have the report to provide for an investigation.
