On our October cruise on the Dream I booked a last minute FL resident rate and ended up on deck 10 forward but on port side so we were under concierge cabins right at the elevator. Now, we LOVE deck 10 forward, but like to be starboard and under the Rainforest , but heck, it was a pretty good rate and you get what you get and don't have a fit, right?
I did not have a fit, but I sure think the people above us had them hourly and at various times of the day. Either that or they loaded a pack of wild elephants who were practicing for the long jump up in the cabin. Still not sure.
In January on the Magic we had a cabin that had a loose veranda separation panel so it was banging back and forth. Evidently, someone in another cabin called GS to report that we had bathing suits on the balcony and that the noise of them flapping in the wind was annoying to them.

First of all, this was the first night and we did not swim in 40 degree weather leaving the Port of Miami (we are Floridians for heavens sake and that was COLD) I mentioned to the GS people that we don't put our bathing suits on the veranda to dry because 1. they request that you don't do that and 2. because there was no sun out there to dry them anyway.
At that time, I mentioned that the veranda separator was banging around and seemed to be coming from our neighbors cabin side. They sent someone up within 5 minutes and it was all taken care of. Oddly enough the folks who reported the "flapping noisy bathing suits" happened to be the folks with the flapping veranda separator.

All in all, everyone was happy after that mystery was solved.
