Does anyone have any recent video or pictures of an inside sideways layout cabin? We have one booked at the moment and have never stayed in one before. The pictures I could fine so far have been outdated. Thanks!

How recent are you looking. I have a bunch but I'm guessing they're not what you're looking for as they're 2 years old this month.

Unless it was on the Wonder they probably haven't changed. I haven't heard of any refurbs of cabins...

It was on the Wonder and we were the last people to stay in our stateroom prior to the refurbishment. They updated our room on the very next cruise.

Also, quick question have you stayed in a regular facing inside....did you like the sideways layout? Thanks!!!

We've stayed in a regular interior stateroom on the Fantasy (loved the virtual porthole!) and in a sideways stateroom on the Wonder. Given the option I would choose a sideways stateroom over a regular stateroom every time!! It felt SOOO much more spacious to us! Still tiny but just more space!

Here is a link to a post I put up on our blog with lots of pics of the sideways stateroom and a description of the layout.

Happy to answer any questions you may have

The sideways inside rooms on the classics are the best, it felt as spacious as our cat V room on the Fantasy. The only downside for some is that they don't have the split bath. We have never had any issues without this so we love the extra space. I think what makes it feel so big is that the room opens up into empty space vs having to walk past the bathroom and closet to get to the open area of the room.

Thanks. Does the bed face in a way that the ships rocking....you would rock side to side (like a normal facing cabin)? It would be weird for the ship's rocking to rock you from head to toe...maybe?

The bed is angled so that your head is pointed towards one side (port) of the ship and your feet toward the other (starboard), so to speak, just like the standard inside rooms are.

Balcony & Porthole rooms are the opposite (and possibly Deluxe insides, someone can correct me on that one.)

I thought that all of the inside rooms had the bed setup so that you rock port to starboard. The last time we had a standard inside room though was 11/13, so perhaps my memory is faulty..

Yes, you're right! I was thinking of my last cruise when I was not in an inside. I'll edit that.
