Forgive me Mickey, for I have sinned.
I have a confession. Were staying off property.
I know. I know.
But I have a valid reason. I am a jobless college student. With a baby. Who is young. And a mortgage. Get the picture? My MIL has timeshare, so were using that. Thankfully, its just at the edge of the WDW property. Looking at a map, it looks like its just below Animal Kingdom.
So were staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort. My MIL hasnt invited my parents, though she said to DH that it would be ok if they came. Its making my parents crazy that theyve not been invited by my MIL. But Mom is a stickler for etiquette, and my DHs family .isnt. I told Mom they love having lots of family around, and theyd never officially invite, because its always an open invitation that someone comes. In fact, when they are coming down here, we dont invite, they just say theyre coming. I dont mind.
Whoa, Beka, way to get off-topic. Lay off the coffee. Sheesh.
Ok, back to where were staying:
Its owned by Starwood, so Im hoping the beds will be good! Unfortunately, the property doesnt have any 3br units, so I want the biggest 2br they have, so that well have enough room.

Just found out we should be in this unit: CLICK HERE Looks pretty nice! And since there's a separate sitting room, it's almost like a 3br. We can bring a blow-up mattress just incase the pull out stinks. I think they might also offer cribs, but we also have a pack n play (though he refuses to sleep in it!).
Looking at the pictures, some of the rooms look really nice, and some look like 1980s Florida. You know what I mean: peachy-pink, sea foam green, light blue bleached wood Hello Miami Vice! Where are my Jellies? I need a scrunchie! STAT!
It looks like most of the rooms come with:
Living area with sofa bed
Entertainment center in the living area with color TV, DVD player, stereo and CD player
Dining area with seating for four
Well-equipped kitchenette includes range/oven, microwave/hood combination, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender and dinnerware
Washer and dryer
Private patio or balcony
In-room safe
Looks like they also have a Pizza Hut Express, KFC Express and A&W All American Foods® Express on property, along with some bars, a deli that serves Starbucks (not so important so long as our coffeemaker works).
Hm. Thats about all I can say about where were staying. Im holding out for a Holiday Inn in Kissimmee to come up, since it looks like it has a golf course on property, & has 3br. Ive emailed my MIL to see how I can help her see what property is open. I mean, if we have to pay OOP extra for 3br, Id be willing to do it.
So anyway, we're at the Sheraton for now. Unless something else comes available.
Oh my, I just looked at her account, and cant see that anything has been reserved. I gotta learn the system before I freak out. Not that I have time to freak out, I have a pharmacology test tomorrow!
Yipe! (Anyone know how to memorize endocrine system drugs in a hurry?)
Oh, and just because I love TRs & PTRs with pics, I'll add this for your viewing pleasure:
Another old pic from the 80s. I don't remember the parade at all.
