Insert Catchy Title Here - An August PTR

Wow, great pictures! The one of Conner is just too cute.

Oh, and I really like your new shirts. That's so cool your mom did those for you. The comment about the chicken skin cracked me up! :rotfl:

Here it is, my break from school, and I've neglected my PTR. As of yesterday, I'm going to WDW **NEXT MONTH**!!! :cool1:
Let's see what's changed at EPCOT since I was last there:

Journey to Imagination, Spaceship Earth, & the Living Seas have all undergone renovations.

Test Track, Soarin, & Mission Space have been added.

Captain EO, Horizons, & many others (forgetting names at this point & a quick search on AllEars isn't helping me out) have gone.

I have no idea what, if anything, has changed in the World Showcase.

I do know that I have a few goals at EPCOT this trip:
Spaceship Earth
Soarin'
See the 'hidden' areas of the WS: the maze in England, all of Morocco (I swear, I've never been in there!), the church in Norway. I feel like I've always sped through WS since we usually only spend 1 day in EPCOT. This time, I've scheduled at least 2 days, so hopefully I'll be able to see more this time.

'K, so lots of people like to show what they've gotten for their trips. I ordered some clothes from Chadwick's, and while they fit, I must admit that I'm not bowled over by the quality or fit. Then again, I'm picky about that kind of thing. So far, my favorite shorts that I've gotten have come from Kohl's.

I am in the market for the perfect park shoe. At first, I thought that would be Crocs (see previous post). However, I refuse to buy shoes online fore I know what size I'll wear. We have a Crocs outlet here in MB, so I headed up there (which is almost a 30 minute drive!) only to find that A) the Petras were not on sale, B) they only had them in size 4 or 12, neither of which is *my* size. Needless to say, I won't be getting any Crocs. (I've also tried every other store that I know or think might sell Crocs, and none have the style I want.) That being said, I think I've found it. They are OluKai flip flops. I tried them on, and it was sheer Heaven. The leather ones are good, but the store clerk said they take longer to break in. Anyway, HERE is the link.

Well, that's about all for now. School starts back on Monday, and I'm trying to not think about it, but I need to get some reading done after my BFF leaves today. Time to go put on some aloe (going to the beach with ZERO sunblock on is a BAD idea!)

OMG.. I never got an update showing you posted.. Those pics are SOO cute, especially the one of con in the bubble.. he is adorable! what kind of camera do you have?

also, one month..how exciting! You are gonna have so much fun!

I have a Powershot, it's somewhere in the 1st pages of the PTR.

I can't believe it's so close!

OMg, I think my skin is going to fall off. Stupid sunburn.

Cute sandals!! That's the best kind -- when they're comfy and not unfortunate looking...good find. :thumbsup2 You know, I went to the Crocs outlet and they had an abnormally large amount of sizes four and twelve. Seriously, what is up w/ that?! I realize it's an outlet, but really -- do they need that many polarized sizes? Strange.

Good luck w/ the sunburn, I absolutely HATE that feeling.

Not sure how I missed all your updates. I have a canon and it is suppose to have a fireworks setting but I have never read to learn to use it. I just put it on the action setting and snap away during fireworks.:rotfl:

I wander if mine has a aquarium setting also, my aquarium pics never turn out.

Love the pics! Glad to hear you are getting a little break from school I remember how that is. I am a career student myself. We joke because I graduated with my ADN in 1996, BSN in 2005, and MSN in 2008. Everyone keeps asking when I am going back. :scared1: I dont think that will be happening.

I thought, looking at them online, that they were soooo ugly. The leather ones are really pretty in person. I'm not crazy about the others, but they are so comfy, I don't care!

The Crocs outlet is a joke. If you want the clogs, you're set.

I found a super soft shirt from the Gap that I've been wearing, but it hurts to move. This one didn't blister, but I've had some that were so bad that you could see the blisters through my shirt. OW.

I found them on one of the night settings, somehow.

Very cute shoes!! They look comfortable. Oooo so sorry about the sunburn!! Keep putting that aloe on and hopefully it'll be better soon! Hey guess what, I'm goin to WDW next month too!!! Yay, it's so exciting! It took me forever to actually walk all the way through Morocco, it's actually very pretty. You must do Soarin!! Be sure to ask for the front row, it's def. the best view! Good luck with school!

Sunburn is the WORSE THING EVER! Hope you learned your lesson!

Hey Beka...I just recently found out we had a Crocs outlet! Wish I had known before. Of course they don't carry the shoes I love either..the ones that look like regular flip flops. Don't know the name of 'em. I have a couple of pair but extras would have been nice. I keep waiting for a sale on the crocs website but they're still $30-$40. Dicks's and Bass Pro Shops carry crocs too but they're expensive.

You should look at DS's boy stuff. I have it all ready for a yard sale...it's almost all baby Gap and some Gymbo and Old Navy. Some things he never wore and I have brand new boy shoes. I have sizes from infant to 4T to get rid of. Not asking much if ya wanna look. Whatever the kids sell their stuff for in the sale they take to Disney for spending money.

We're going to WDW next month! :woohoo::yay::cheer2: You ready!?

Hey Beka - Love the PTR. I'm a big fan of spreadsheets. They rank high on my niftyomiter. Can't wait to hear how the trip goes. I know you'll have a great time! Oh, and I'm with on the Kohls kudos. We hardly ever shop anywhere else now.

I think my plan will be to hit Soarin' first, either to grab a FP ro just ride it. Carrie (Lurkyloo)'s wedding TR made me really want to explore Morocco!

Sunburn is the WORSE THING EVER! Hope you learned your lesson!

You'd think I would have since I've had such bad ones before! I put on SPF 50 yesterday when I went out! I plan on bringing plenty of sunscreen & aloe to WDW!

I'm so excited! I'm pretending school is over & we're going next week  PM me when you have your yard sale, & hopefully I'll have the $$ and remember that you're having one!

I heart spreadsheets. Since I do, now my classmates do, since I condense a unit's worth of info into one.

Kohl's is awesome. Inexpensive & good quality:thumbsup2

I'm loving your TR GB!

4 weeks from today, and I'll be in Orlando! I've been so neglectful to the PTR, but in my defense:
A) I have a Facebook addiction, which Jenn, Sophia, & Kirsten can attest to
2) I've been studying and got a 92 on both of my tests this week
C/3) (I just realized that I did A, 2, instead of A, B or 1, 2 & it's too funny to change now.) I've been working on getting some sun. Not a tan! A tan in the South is *super* dark, and I don't want that!

I had gotten some clothes from Chadwick's catalog, but one shirt didn't fit at all, and the tees I got were junk. I know they were cheap, but they were too big before I washed them, and too short (fit around my body perfectly, but just barely went past the top of my pants) after I washed them, so they went back today. I'd have sent the shorts back, but I'm pretty sure it'd be too hard to find size 10 shorts right now - they're hard enough when there's a full stock. I also need a bathing suit, but I'm going to have to wait until the refund to go find one, which will probably mean I'll have to go to a shop that specifically sells bathing suits, since the regular stores (Wal-Mart, etc.) were sold out or *really* picked over by the 4th.

As far as the trip goes, I have made ZERO touring plans. I have no idea how Conner will react, so my plan is to go to just soak in the atmosphere. So long as I get to see EPCOT (and ride SE & Soarin) and ride POTC, JC, & HM at MK, I'll be happy. I'm pretty sure that'll be possible in a week's time.

I need to make a list of stuff to bring, and e-mail that to my mom & my MIL. We're planning on having some meals at the room, so I was thinking we need to get breakfast stuff, some bread & deli meat for sandwiches, and then figure out what (if anything) we want to do for dinner. My FIL *refuses* to eat anything low carb, light/fat-free, or chicken. Guess he'll have to starve on some nights, cuz he's the odd man out. Mom & Dad were talking about baking some chicken while we're out at the parks, and that's fine with me. I might have to just bring the Crock Pot since we're driving down. I think maybe if we make a menu and have things made ahead of time, we'll do better. (Like make spaghetti ahead of time - that kind of thing.)

Can't forget the laundry detergent, :laundy:dryer sheets, and other miscellaneous stuff like a power strip.

I also need to see of the hotel has a crib for Conner. He will not sleep in his Pack-n-Play, and who can blame him? Those things are hard! I don't know what we'll do if they don't have one. Hopefully, if they don't have one, he'll be so exhaused that he'd sleep on the floor so long as we just leave him alone.

Well, that's all for now! I'm sleepy & have bunches of homework to do, since I was a total slacker the last two days.

Beka,

So I did a lot of this :lmao: reading your last entry because I can attest to your Facebook addiction! I have one too and have been neglecting the DIS big time!

You are getting so close now!

I decided that this year I am not going to buy new vacation clothes. I think I made that decision after I made our shirts. Turns out I went a bit overboard and made us each 5! Yes 5! That said, I think I should just go with what I have to add to it. :rolleyes1 Dang Disney stick people t-shirt addiction gets me every time!

Stupid farms, yoville, and quizzes distract me from Dis time. I threatened DH with shirts, but I got "the look", so those are a no-go. Hey, when a girl wants an expensive pair of flip-flops, one doesn't argue with the hubby. No-way, no-how.

I am addicted to facebook...AND the DIS. Oh yes, and I just started a Twitter account. Something else to get addicted to.

Yay for 4 weeks! :cool1:

Oh gosh, I can't even go there with Twitter!

I wanna be more excited than I am, but my pile of laundry and homework get in the way!:)

Yay, only 4 weeks!! I'm sorry everything's been so busy for you!! Hopfully it'll slow down a bit. When my family and I stay at OKW we usually plan the meals we're going to cook ahead of time, it saves some time for us. So I think that's a good idea for you guys. It's probably a good idea to just kinda go with the flow with your little one, it'll probably be better on him and you!!
