Insect repellant?

We are going to WDW the first week of November. I have read advice on bringing bug spray. Is there a problem with mosquitos in November? My concern is obviously for the West Nile Virus. Will we really need insect repellant?

I'm not real sure about Nov but we just got back a week ago and the mosquitos ate us up. This was our 10th trip and I have never taken bug spray. We never needed it. This year we did. I don't know if it is because of all the rain but it was bad. The family that went with us took some and it really helped. I would say bring it along.

Have a great trip.

I'm NOT an avon rep, but I highly recommend using avon skin so soft products.
I never have a bug problem when I use their products, the little critters seem to hate
the stuff. I use their shower gel and their Sunblock/spf 30/bug repellant and it all
works great and makes your skin...so soft! ;)

With that west nile virus, you never can be too careful.

Im packing mine in my backpack. I would take some if I were you. Especially if you have children. :)

I agree with bcinohio. I don't know if this is unusual for WDW but we had never experienced mosquitos until last week. My poor girls legs are a mess! Could have really used bug spray this time. I would say bring some with you. Better safe than sorry!

I second the Avon skin so soft products. They really do work as bug repellants. When my son was in daycare that is what they used on the kids. You could also get the Avon sunscreen and that way you are covering all the bases with just one product. I also think the avon products are safer.

Wow! I am glad I read this thread! My DH and I have always laughed about NEVER seeing a bug in WDW!!! Makes ya wonder what kind of pestisides you are being exposed to...we don't think about that one too long...ruins the "magic"! Maybe they have cut back some on the chemicals or maybe its been a wetter Summer? Who knows but the ole bug spray is now on my list!

you can order the avon products online and i think some of the awards programs
(mypoints etc..) give points for dollars spent. http://www.avon.com
When I use Skin So Soft I never get bothered by bugs.

Been there 9 times at various times of the year and never seen one.
Have way more of them in ND than in FL.
