Maybe if we stay at poly the last night we can get in line to get into trader Sam's. Is that still something you have to line up early for?

Yes. When we did our resort-only stay at the Poly we went twice. You don't have to wait in line really, just one person has to go to put your name on the waitlist. They will text you when a spot opens and you have 15min to get there.

There’s a walk-up waitlist to get in. I believe you need to get in line somewhere around 1:30 or 2pm and then just after 2pm someone will come out and take your name, phone number and party size.

When they call you, you have a short amount of time to return with your party for your reservation. I’d double check these times though with someone once you arrive at the Poly to see if they are correct cause I’m not 100% certain if these timelines are correct.

I think they have been taking names a bit earlier. When we were there recently, we got there at 1:50 and it was already a 3hr wait for our party (got called in around 6:00). If you want to get in right when it opens at 3, you likely have to get in line around 12:30-1p.

This is one advantage of staying at the Poly. You can join the waitlist at any point and it doesn't matter as much because you can just go back to your room to relax until you're called, even if that's 10pm.

So if you do get in line at around 12:30pm., do you know approximately how long you’d have to wait until someone comes out and takes your name? Or do they come out every half hour or so to take names down?
