Don't miss your chance to be a part of inline skating history. Skate around the world on March 30, 2003 at the inaugural WALT DISNEY WORLD® Inline Marathon. The adventure begins at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex, where the loop course whisks skaters to tinsel town at the Disney-MGM Studios. After parading down Hollywood Boulevard, skaters stroll along a charming coastal village at Disney's BoardWalk Resort. Then it's on to Epcot® and the eleven great nations of the World Showcase before circling back to Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex for a rewarding finish- but only if you're participating in the half marathon. Marathoners circle back for a second loop to complete 26.2 miles.

The Inaugural WALT DISNEY WORLD® Inline Marathon is pleased to have the International Inline Skating Association as its presenting sponsor. The IISA includes eleven of the sport's premier skate manufacturers, including Rollerblade, K2, Salomon, Ultrawheels, Tour, Roces, Nike N'Dorphin Inline Skates, Verducci, Hyper Wheels, Smart Wheels, and Twin Cam.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The race will feature a 13.1-mile loop course that begins and finishes at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. Half marathon participants will complete the loop once, while marathon participants will complete the loop twice.

RACE DIVISIONS
Professional - Elite skaters who are USAC, USAIR or RWC certified.
Professional Master - Elite skaters who are USAC, USAIR or RWC certified and 35 years of age or older.
Advanced - Skaters with racing experience and capable of completing the marathon with a time under 1:30:26.
Fitness/Recreation - Skaters who skate recreationally or if it is your first inline marathon.

RACE SAFETY
Helmets are mandatory to participate in the event. (Participants must be 13 years old or older) Knee, wrist guards and elbow pads are recommended. Inline skates only. For safety reasons, baby joggers/ strollers, skateboards, and animals will be prohibited on the race course.

WALT DISNEY WORLD® INLINE MARATHON EXPO
Representatives from the skate and fitness industry will be there to exhibit, answer questions, and sell the latest in products and services. The Expo will take place in the Milk House at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex on Saturday, March 29, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Participants must pick up their race numbers and goodie bags at the Expo.
AWARDS
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the Professional and Professional Master race divisions, along with the top three finishers in each age category for the Advanced and Fitness/Recreation race divisions.
WAIVER
A release and indemnity waiver form must be completed and signed by each participant. If the participant is under 18, the waiver must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Print the waiver and bring it to Packet Pick Up. To print the waiver click here.
