GREAT MOVIE! :thumbsup2
One thing inthe movie might a bit scary for really young or really sensitive kids who scare of monsters (how to word that?)... but mine are 6 and 9 and no problems.

We have not read the books. I know some people say it is not true to the books. We have the books on hold at the library... so it didnt bother us in the least. :upsidedow

I'm dying to see this movie! The books are among my favorite books ever, even in the adult genre. I was hoping to see it on opening night, but some health issues are keeping me cooped up in the house. :guilty:

We just got back from seeing Inkheart. I agree, great movie! DD loves the books and couldn't wait for the movie to come out. While she said it wasn't true to the books and they are better. She loved the movie. I've never read the book but I might now!

Also, yes, it is violent and has a lot of scary scenes.

Another thumbs up here! One of the best movies we have seen in a long time. Great plot, action, characters, and it kept moving. Also, no language. Great family movie!

This reminds me... I read some reviews (I think on Fandango) before going to see it... and a viewer said it had bad language. :confused3 I went anyway, as my kids have heard a few choice words out of mommys mouth anyway:scratchin ... but I didnt hear one bad word!

So, all of you liked it? The reviewer here panned it, so I was going to skip it. But if it's good, I'd love to take DD9.

I really did not like the books, but the movie was fun. Not a great movie per say, but light and fun.

Love the books or at least the first two. I recently bought the third one for my daughter (18) for her birthday. We are both pumped about going to see the movie!

So glad to hear these reviews! My son and I are planning to watch it next week.

DH, DD (8.5 yo) and I saw it this afternoon and really enjoyed it. There was one part in the first 1/3 that was a bit intense for DD but she was fine and really enjoyed the rest of the movie. We give it :thumbsup2

DD10 had her birthday party today and we took 8 kids to see Inkheart. Everybody thought it was pretty good. I will say, though, that those of us, myself included, who had read the book were pretty disappointed in the MAJOR changes from the book to the movie. There were a couple of things that were in the movie that were actually from the second book. I would definitely suggest seeing the movie before reading the book. Enjoy!

I read 42 chapters of that book in less than two days. :headache:
I'm debating going to see this.
