If you don't love your veil (which is beautiful by the way) then definitely pick another one, you want to be comfortable and have everything that makes you feel special and beautiful on your wedding day!!!

I semi-lurked on your last TR, and I'm a sucker for weddings. Thought I'd better say hello because I'm not going to want to keep quiet on this one!

First, I think that you and Bob are a gorgeous couple. As a person who rebuffed and then married her best friend several years later, I love your story.

Your dress is beautiful!! You look stunning (and so young!) in it.

I also hate being the center of attention (my showers were borderline painful), but having Bob with you should take a bunch of the pressure off. Just remember that everyone who attends loves you guys and are excited to share your day.

I've worked in restaurants for years, and from a catering perspective the cupcakes will actually be easier for the staff to make and serve, so I don't think you should have a problem getting them to agree to that. People love cupcakes, I think if that's what you want then you should have it.

And, if you're thinking about getting some vinylmation for the big day-they're on sale on the Disney Store's website right now.

Can't wait to read more!

I don't think you're weird for not caring about the cake. I didn't care about mine, either, and my mom SO cared about it. So I told her she could buy it and pick whatever she wanted (as long as the colors worked with what I wanted). Done deal!

Been having a rough time lately.. lots of fights with the future hubs, not handling back to school well (me), BUSY with work, not sure what to do wedding wise, etc..... So I started thinking, what with my a few of my Dis family going to WDW this week, or now living there, where was I a year ago?

One year ago, I was in Disney World with my future matron of honor and one of my bff Michele. I started my day at DAK and ended with Ohana! (to read about it some more, go here and here !

One year ago I had Ohana for dinner... man do i wish I had Ohana for dinner tonight!

One year ago I was NOT engaged to my bff, but man was I HOPING he would pop the question while in WDW!

One year ago, my baby boy was entering kindergarten!

One year ago my baby girl was still in elementary school !

One year ago, I was a nanny, and it was my bosses birthday today!

One year ago my sister was NOT pregnant and due next week!

One year ago, I had WAY more mental issues than I do now! (goooooo therapy!)

One year ago I was just 30. Not 31, just 30.

One year ago I had a silver Chrysler mini van.

One year ago i thought I knew it all, now I know its good to let other people know things too!

One year ago seems like a lifetime ago, yet days lately are flying by faster than ever!

Thank you all for sticking around or just joining in. My life is an adventure, and I'm glad to have you all in it!


Hopefully I'll have a fun post soon... not sure what to write about next? May just start the Disney portion, not that I have much!

Since I don't really have any wedding stuff to share with you, I figured i'll start with the PTR portion!


Who: US!

Whatisney familymoon!
Where:

When: January 27-Feb 4 ( not nearly enough time, but I guess I can't complain!)
Why: HONEYMOON!


So, here's the deal... WE CRAY CRAY! For some reason, we thought it would be a good idea to leave for Disney the day after our wedding. Why cray cray you ask? Because we are DRIVING! Yeah, not sure how or why we thought we would have the energy to drive to Disney the day after our BIG DAY, but we did, and now it's all booked and planned, and well, that's that! PRAY for us!

On a bright side, we got a new mini van! well, a new used mini van, which is better on gas, and actually has working heating/air! and not all dinged up! and TONS of room! I plan on packing the van up the weekend before, or earlier that week, before it gets overly stressful! Good idea? I figure between all the other vehicles from family we can use theirs to transport stuff to our wedding!

It's not as "fancy" as our last one, but the last one looked and was a POS! So far, I love this one and how it drives! I bet we will miss the DVD player on the way down though.. or not at all? Jack's got and itouch and Kayla has an iphone, not to mention her lap top, our ipad, and both have a DS...so, I think coupled with homework, books, and crafts, we will be just fine!

So, as I said, we cray! On the plus side, Jophia are ALSO leaving the day after, so we will have the entire trip with them! Sadly though, they are leaving much earlier than we are! Seeing as Joe will drive the whole way, that makes sense!

This year, I plan on driving the first leg of the trip! If you recall last year, Bob driving first was NOT a good idea! (click the link) Hopefully I will be on a high from the day before and the fun ahead, and hopefully me driving first, during the day, will give Bob time to sleep some more and just rest up after our awesome wedding!

We are hoping to be on the road by 11/12, same as last years goal! As of now we plan on driving straight through, not sure if this will work, but if it doesn't, hopefully we can find a place to stop for the night! Actually, Bob and I haven't really discussed it all now that I think about it! So, I'll get back to you on that

If we don't stop, we anticipate an early arrival of around 9/10 a.m. Last year we were very lucky and our room was ready when we got there! I was VERY happy about that! I wanted a shower so bad, and it was great to be able to go unpack and unwind right away!

If this happens, I would really like to go right to EOS for lunch

I love that place, may even be my favorite. Just sayin.

After filling our bellies with that yumminess we will head over to Epcot! Today will be an easy day, it HAS to be! Whatever we do, we do! No stress, just soaking in the love and fun!

Originally we planned on a first night dinner with Jophia. But due to her newer diet restrictions, and general lack of love for the option, it will just be the four of us.

So where does one eat on the first night of their Disney Familymoon?

Why, Biergarten OF COURSE! Bob loved it here last trip, and the kids did too! It really is a fun place, and the food isn't bad! Great way to start the the trip off! We really will miss Jophia here though! Bob was REALLY looking forward to drinking with Joe lol!

After dinner, we are heading back to the room! No if's and or buts! The next morning we have a fairly early ADR at new to Bob, but oldie but goody to us restaurant!

So although we are going to a park on the day we arrive, I am choosing to believe that day 2 is the first "real" park day I call it Disney logic.... I'm sure you all have your own form of Disney logic as well!

Today is full of NEW! To Bob, AND one for all of us!

Breakfast at Chef Mickeys! Sadly, Jophia will not be joining for this one either We did not eat here in 2011, as we didn't love it in 2009, but since we skipped last trip, I figured we'd try it again on this one, and it lets Bob try a new place/experience! It really has been fun in the past, but long, and not so great food.... Hoping for an amazing experience!

After CM we will be going to Magic Kingdom! It is KILLLING me that we aren't going the first night!

No plans for this day, we never usually have a plan. I suppose I'll be checking out the new Fantasyland along with every other idiot lol! Maybe I'll be smarter than that and just hot up our must do's? I'll make that list later!

After having an awesome day, we will have a new first for ALL of us, including Jophia!

So that's our first day! I am SOOOOOO looking forward to hanging with Jophia, and experiencing my happy place at cooler temps! I'm thinking we will get much more done than in years past, and we've gotten a LOT done in that dang heat!
