Now, for more wedding news and updates!
Here are some more RSVP's
From what I can gather on a whole, people can not wait to wish us years of Disney and babies! That seemed to be the running theme! Some were also just down right naughty and I can not post them! However, I gather from those that they wish us babies as well lololol!
So as in any wedding (I'm assuming) some things you had wanted or thought you could conquer just don't happen. If you recall, we initially planned on wood burning each place card with the families names, and using a pic of each person for it.... time escaped us (read Bob) and here is what the end result is
No pictures and they are stamped and then wood burned on top. I was sad at first, but the more I look at it, the more I like it, and I think it is pretty darn unique! I don't think anyone else will notice what we didn't do..Hope not anyway!
Random cute Avarie picture time!
I also met again with the florist, who I really love and this is what the bridesmaids/MOH will be holding
and here is the rough final draft of our center pieces
I say rough final draft as I wasn't 100% happy with what was presented to me, and felt it needed more white and something big. So the final should have a big white Hydrangea included and some more berries and belles of Ireland

I absolutely love the cabbagey/kale in it though! I love textures and I think the arrangements are fun and tell to who I am

The jars will also have raffia around them, and the bouquets will be wrapped in burlap and raffia! You know, to stay with the rustic theme!
In more exciting news, we found bow ties for the guys! and while I say we, I mean me!
I'm hoping they like them! After all that stress, I found them at JCPenney of all places!
and now my biggest reveal! Kaylas outfit! There has been MUCH heartache and stress over what she was wearing! If you recall, we bought her that silver dress from J.Crew, which I adored on the website, but it just never looked good on her. It just lacked something. So I returned it and have not been able to find a dress since. I ordered 2 from Nordstroms, one I was going to alter, but then got it and couldn't at all, and then one which I adored, but missed the fine print where it said order UP a size because it runs very small
OF course after months of looking at it, I go to buy the next size up and they are all magically sold out! The dress was on there forever, no one bought it, but then I do and now all of a sudden every size is sold out? and to make it better, every other online carrier was sold out and the company themselves was no longer making it!
So, after much hesitation, I have decided to keep it, and let her rock it short! She loves the dress, and so does everyone else. So it's short. Normally, I'm anti hoochie dressing, but she looks so cute in it!
and YES, I even let her get that little heel she wanted SO bad! ( I feel a life lesson will be learned in those heels though. The life lesson being, heels suck and hurt lol)
Not pictured is the very cute black sweater I got her to go on top
Am I crazy for letting her wear this? I bought those super thick almost leggings black tights too, to help with the shortness, and told her she can't bend over lol! I'm also going to buy a pair of black dancing shirts to go under, just to play it safe!
In other non wedding news, Jack's dad has taken me to court 3 times since October 5. This past time he even hired a lawyer (which how do you not have $ to see Jack on Mondays anymore, but you can afford a lawyer?). The first time was to complain about Jack missing school for our trip, despite the school approving it! The 2nd time was to modify the current agreement, he wanted Jack Fri-Sun on his weekends as opposed to the current Sat-Sun. I agreed, but then he says ok, starting this weekend, to which I had to say no, as it was our weekend. He out of nowhere wanted to switch our whole schedule, the same one we have had for almost 3 years. He said his boss could only start giving him off on the weekends that were ours, I obviously said no, as Bob and I work the weekends that Jack was originally with his dad. He got mad and hired a lawyer, which at the end of the day ended up being a big waste of money as we had court this past Thursday and she did nothing more for him than he could have done himself. As luck would have it, someone was let go at his job, and Bob was able to change his whole schedule, so John will get what he wants ultimately, but so will we, no family time lost at all. The bummer though, is John now has Holidays written in the agreement, something we had never done as we've always been agreeable. Suddenly he wants Jack Christmas morning. I know you're probably thinking, thats not weird, but he didn't even call Jack on Christmas day in 2011, or get him a single gift. While I'm aware its not about gifts, he just didn't care, he didn't even call. So yes, I am furious that suddenly he wants to rip Jack away from all he has ever known, because it's whats "right". He has no family, no traditions, and his girlfriend is Jewish so doesn't celebrate. We have a million traditions, a house full of family, and it's just sad that Jack will miss out on certain things as years pass. With that said, we will adjust our norm to make sure jack doesn't miss out on much. Presents will just have to wait to be opened, traditional breakfast will become brunch, we will figure it out!
and speaking of my handsome Jack, here he is yesterday before his very first basketball game!
He was so cute playing! I hate basketball, but loved watching him!
and in sadder jack news, he was seen at CHOP ENT on Friday after battling a 4 month sinus infection, and it has been decided that he will have his adenoids and tonsils removed this March!
Wow.. I'm ending this on a bad note lol!
It's actually a good thing, hopefully after the removal he will be less sick! and that will be a GOOD thing!
Oh, and on another wedding note, we have our final meeting with our DJ today at 11 am and then we meet with wedding coordinator at 5pm to hash out all final wedding details!
Thanks for sticking around, or coming back! and Happy New Year!
I will try to update if anything exciting happens, but the wedding is 19 days away, not sure what will happen!
