Inkedupmomma's 1st PTR ever! Home sweet home..ugh.. TR started..link is up!

I hope your Grandma is doing ok.

I have a daughter in 2nd grade and boy some of the moms of the girls in that class are driving me crazy this year!!! I can't believe it. I wish she was in another class too so I feel your pain!

LOVE all the shopping blogs! I'm such a shopper too. Dh says we could have a larger house if I wouldnt shop so much. Well, I say we need a larger house to put all my "finds" in. sigh Its a vicious circle! :lmao:

Ok I'm quoting this because.....

I hate to admit this, but for a very brief amount of time I had to work at wal*mart... hence my hate for it!but good call on dollar tree, i always forget about them!

I worked at the Wal-Mart home office in Bentonville for about 9 months. I hate telling people that too since I'm such a Wal-Mart hater now. You're not alone!!!

We really wanted to get Jack the peter pan costume.. well it sucked..sucked ..sucked!! cheap and big fitting.. That is not what Peter Pan looked like! So now I have 12 days to either make him one or find something more authentic.. LURKYLOO, get on the ebay horn for me!

What size is Jack? THis one is a size 2T...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Peter-Pan-Costu...NameZWD4VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em124

Here is a search you can do for all the other ones - I think most are from the Disney Store though:

SOOOOO... How do you all think our shopping went yesterday??Remember now, we brought the kiddies... oh yes thats right.. it sucked!! Oh and did I get my aunt flow yesterday too?? making me mega ***** and bloated?? yeah, that happened too!! So yesterday's shopping trip wasn't as faboo as I was hoping, but stuff did get done!!

Macy's

I've had a gift card there hat I have been trying to use up.. but since I won't buy anything full price, I have had it forever now..Even after yesterday I have money left over on it! I was reallly hoping to find some tops there, but I did not :( I did get a swell pair of black plaid bermuda shorts though!! and Lime green terry cloth bermuda short/work outy pants. I also almost bought Fit Flops.. They are pretty darn comfy.. anyone know anything about them? So that is all I found for me, but I did find these reallly cute puma shorts for Kayla for soccer, they were only $4.00 a piece! That is a steal!! All in all this store was annoying and service sucked, no one knew what the heck they were doing... weird

Sears

Another frustrating store... So we remembered we had a sear CC and figured we would buy our GPS here.. did anyone know anything about them?? Did they eve know how to check if they were in stock?? no. After about 75 mins of I don't even have a word for it, we settled for one. funny thing is, the newest kid working there was the most knowledgeable and helpful!! His manager got good word about him!! While in the electronic dept. we got the new Little mermaid and a Nick Jr dvd that had 1 yo gabba gabba episode on it! I hid these and plan on giving it to the kids the day we leave:goodvibes They'll have something new to watch now on the way down! After electronics we hit up lingerie.. well talk about granny panties!! but guess what.. I bought em.. they are cotton and brand new and I just didn't have the energy to go to Vicki's secret.. plus she started cutting her undies weird and I'm not crazy about them now.. the way I look at it is, i'm not skinny.. underwear does not look sexxy on me anyways.. so why bother trying to be cute anymore?? straight up comfort here! I mean they have a lil' lacey stuff goin on, but thats about it TMI?Moving on, at sears I got Kayla those really cute lil addidas flip flops.. you know the ones with the spikey things? I figured all soccer players should have em!! now she does!! and they were only $12.00!! Thats the cheapest I have seen them anywhere! I also found the new balances that I want there on sale for $40.00!! They weren't the black ones that I wanted, but gray is good enough! Especially $25.00 cheaper!! I was also able to snag John an awesome Hawaiian print shirt for our spirit of aloha dinner! So the title of this post comes from our shopping trip at sears. When John went to go pay for the Gps, they said his sear CC had expired last year.. oops, and that he would have to reapply for there new cc that is an actual VISA now.. (there old cards were strictly to spend at sears, new ones are visa and can be used anywhere) We were nervous about this as we keep getting reject letters from every other CC company, and from what i hear a sears one is hard to get! Well, don't you know he was approved and they even extended his credit!! What did you say?? I'm crazy? I know, but this is great, because now we can build more real credit!!

Next stop....

Disney Store

So, I was most excited about this stop today. I did however get kayla a really cute military looking black cap with camp rock pins on it, and Jack a really cool Micke mouse shirt.. now this isnt a regular mickey mouse shirt ( I hate mickey mouse btw) This Mickey is all scary looking and the writing that says Mickey is in the mistfits font (misfits as in old punk rocky band) It is pretty damn good!! even better the hat said it was 12.50 and the shirt was $5.00. well after she rung me up it was $12.50 total!!

Crocs

Ok so a couple weeks ago I bought Jack crocs at boscovs.. now at the time they looked orange.. but when I brought them home they looked more corally.. I wasn't fond. So i brought them back to crocs yesterday and said I bought them there.. a lie i know... but they are crocs.. whats the difference!! Luckily they exchanged them for the ones I wanted!!! and I broke down and bought black crocs flip flops.. they were comfy ad john said, well there not that ugly, just get em:rolleyes: Hopefully, they are comfy!

So That was our shopping day. as you can see.. no shirts for me or john.. no shoes for sandals for john.. so we're back to square one :( only 12 days left and yikes.... it will get figured out though!! Hopefully since my dad is here today we will go to target and he'll buy :dance3:
I have gotta have a picture of this Mickey Misfits shirt. I love  the Misfits!

Love reading about your shopping blogs.

I feel the same away about Macy's. Overpriced and rude workders:headache:

So you know exactly what I mean!!

I'm getting annoyed:mad: I can't find shirts for me or John any where.. even trusty ol' target didn't have em :( I'm not sure where to go now, and I'm super stressed.. only 12 days left and John still needs shoes and we both need shirts:scared1: I did get benadryl on the go thingies for ds in case of emergency allergic reactions, some more shorts, and some more sunblock, and other random stuff. yay target.

What kind of shirts are you looking for? I would think Tat might be able to help ya out.

I would point you in direction of Disney store, but I know you are not into the real disney shirts:laughing:

OK, sorry if I'm clueless, but what kind of shirts are we talking about here? T-shirts? Matchy-matchy polo shirts? :rotfl:

I do almost all my shopping online, so most of the places I'd recommend would be e-tailers, but there's still time to have them shipped. Plus, you can order a whole bunch of different styles and sizes and return the ones that don't work.

Just tell me what yer lookin' for! :thumbsup2

So glad things are good for your grandmother. I could be your grandma too or at least your kids' grandma! I love your report. I really like your shopping experiences. I avoid shopping like the plague unless I know exactly what I want and where I want to go. I am not a cruise the mall kind of a person. That being said, my husband says I am an uncontrolled fabric shopper!:rotfl: He is probably right...just love me some fabric!

We are going to do Hollywood Studios Sept 13th, Animal Kingdom Sept 14th and Epcot Sept 15th. Then we fly home on Sept 16th. At least that is the plan today, but it will probably change 2-12times before we get there!

Because my baby girl is starting 2nd grade today, and I can''t quite handle it. A couple of my friend told me I have a problem and I need to learn to let go... but I can't :guilty: So I ask all you moms of older children, and grandmoms, How did you deal?? The way I see it is with each passing day I'm losing my baby more and more, til eventually shes out the door completely starting college, getting hitched or whatever then making her own babies... oi.. I won't be able to handle those things. Sorry for the melt down, it happens anytime something big happens with my kids (bdays, school starting, first tooth coming in,first tooth falling out,etc...) Ok, gonna try to pull it together, and will be back on to reply to the awesome posts i see!!

 I soooo know how you feel. My oldest started 2nd grade this year too. My youngest started kindergarten. I had a complete meltdown. I have no more children at home during the day. All of my other friends were happy when this happened. I was mortified. Today will be tough but then it will start to get better an you'll begin to watch her grow into a beautiful young lady both inside and out and be confident knowing you have done a good job in raising her.

Just every day shirts. I'm a bigger girl..but not quite plus size, so finding shirts is a pain.. oh i'm also not very girly and dont wear color.. fun and john needs shirts.. anything that isn't super young looking, but not something that makes him look almost 37 either:rotfl:

Zazzle!:goodvibes :lmao:

I made me some cool Skellington shirts there!

ppictures please or i won't believe it;)

NO MATCHY MATCHY polo shirts! i'm so over polo shirts on john.. so yes t-shirts I suppose. but not anything with a whole lot of writing on it, but not too plain either. johns so damn hard to shop for. he's never had a sense of style. just kinda wore whatever. then he met me and I still can't find a style that quite fits him.. i myself like the skater/tattooed look. but hes kinda scrawny so it looks weird.. the metro look isnt great either, cause hes a lil too manly, but not really, that one is hard to explain. and polo shirts were his thing for like our first 2 years together.. we are overrrrr them! we're hopeless

then theres me..big but not quite plus size.. big belly so everything looks dumb on me. and I hate coor, shirts have to be black. if its a shirt i love, i'll consider gray, brown and maybe even burnt orange, butt thats it. I'm not quite comfortable in my woman hood and color makes me feel like people are staring at me and saying oh she just looks like shes trying to look like a girl... yeah i should see dr.phil!

I LOVEDDDDDD your hawaain print outfits! believe it or not I don't love shopping. It may seem that way, but I don't. I def had a plan of what I wanted when we left.. then things were hard to find and so the wandering came to be ..and then we still didn't find anything! lol

That's my numero uno problem.. I don't want her to grow up and deal with life and all the crappy crap that comes with it. I want it to be all sunshone and butterflies for her. unrealistic I know, but I hate the world we live in and just wanna keep hr innocent forever. I know this can't happen, but I just don't know how to handle it. And forget my ds starting school.. i'm really gonna lose my business. I won't know what to do with myself:scared1: Thanks for the hugs though! right back at ya for dealing with the same stuff!

. i myself like the skater/tattooed look. but hes kinda scrawny so it looks weird.

I think someone needs to come back to NY and see what all the skater boys look like. ;) I used to date one and we probably looked quite odd together because he was so freakin small! And me....yeh not small at all lol.

No I know most skater boys and tatted dudes are scrawny, but I can't explain him.. hes just not that dude.. maybe because hes never had a style it would be weird to see him with this very different and exact look all of a sudden?? like he would look like hes trying ya know?? I don't think I'm explaining this very well :headache:

lol no no I totally get what you're saying! it just wouldn't fit him very well to be cloaked in it suddenly out of nowhere...as my crowd would say he would look like a "poser". You could always get him some sweet Volcom and Hurley shirts with jeans. It would be SORT of a skater look but without much thought behind it, you know? I see lots of people dress like that but who aren't much skaterish. I totally just made that word up....

It's okay to cry when you send a child off to school, just make sure that you let them know that it is a "happy, you're growing up" cry! I cried today because my youngest son's little girl started kindergarten this afternoon. Ryan, our son, was killed in an industrial accident two years ago. I know he would be so proud of Kaylee and so excited for her. I know that he is watching his sweet little children with much love even though he is not here. Luckily, their mom shares Kaylee and Mason, their 3 year old son with us a lot. They come to dinner frequently and love to have sleepovers. Sorry, just a little bit of a melancholy moment. I still have a good cry every so often. My husband says we just have a problem with our tear glands and we have incontinent eyes!

I will talk to Lindsey about our schedule...Karlyn and family are staying at the Give Kids the World Resort (Make A Wish). The rest of us are staying at Port Orleans Riverside.
