Hi everyone! I am an incredibly healthy eater... and I'm looking for ingredients in Dis' pre-packaged things (like the frozen bananas, mickey premium, etc), and cs/ts food items (school bread, veggie burgers, etc). I don't eat things like artificial colors, artificial flavors, white refined flour, etc. (yeah yeah, I'm one of THOSE people... no comments thank you... :thumbsup2:laughing:). Is there any where I can find what's 'IN' the Dis food? We're of COURSE planning on bringing a lot of stuff from home to snack on (organic apples, larabars, raw almonds, etc), but we want to 'treat' ourselves a little bit while we're there too, as long as it won't make me sick.... Since I eat so healthy, any time I have anything un-healthyish it makes me feel yucky, and I don't want to be yucky at DIS!

Any ideas would be great!! Any other weirdos like me??? :scared1::goodvibes

If you're that healthy of an eater, you probably already know that everything you listed will have some refined sugar in it, and in the very least, the school bread will have refined flour - probably the veggie burger, too - the bun it's on, anyway.
I'm assuming that it's the "hidden" ingredients that you're looking for. I've had CMs go into the kitchen to see if gravy was thickened with cornstarch or flour before. Everything they have comes from a box, and while they won't be too impressed if you take half an hour on a busy day holding up the line, I'm sure that you can find out some of this in advance. Call the food allergies line (And of course, I don't have the number - but the DIS abilities folks would), and call to find out about some of this stuff. Especially things like artificial colours.
Honestly, though, you might need to relax your militant eating habits if you want to eat anything on your list. I'd choose the "contraband" items that you reeee-aaaalllly want to try, and try to balance that with good stuff the rest of the time.
Good luck!

Is this a new lifestyle for you? How have you handled your prior trips? I ask because things haven't changed much in Disney food in the past year or so. The menus are slightly different, but the same things that worked for you in your past trips will likely work for you next year when you go.

DisABILITIES is a great source, and you can surely get in touch with the hotline to find more about what is in the food. Unfortunately for you,pp I don't think there is the true organic/whole food experience that you're looking for at Disney.
