ING online bank question

You can sign your children up using your checking account. Just put yourself as the joint.

I just signed up this morning. I had been dragging my feet for awhile, but hey it's free money just for signing up. Gopt a referral from a nice person here on the Disboards - Thanks! It was sooo easy, I don't know why I waited so long. Now I'm going to sign up my husband and three children. We'll use the sign up money and referral bonus money for meals when we go in August.

Anyone considering signing up, shouldn't hesitate. I have referrals if they need one. Send me a PM.

I am BRAND new at this. I've opened my account with $25, so it's already showing $50 on my balance---YEAH!! My question is this....I'm seeing people saying they opened accounts for their children--do they have to have a checking account of their own to be hooking up with? Can their accounts be linked with my checking account? I only have their SS #'s but no other identifying numbers for them (for me it was my license #) so how does that work? I've already sent out several referrals so I'm waiting to see if they will join. Thanks in advance for the help!!

As d4est said, you can sign your children up under you, all you need is their social security number. I also used the same email address to sign up myself, DH, and my kids. Plus- all of the accounts are joint under me, so I can see all of the account activity and balances on one page. Pretty cool! :cool1:

ING is really awesome. I work for a bank and also have online banking. I was looking for a way to save $$ for our vacation that would be less tempting to spend before we go. I was considering getting a prepaid travel card when I came across the post about ING bank on the DIS boards. This deal is much better because you get to earn interest on your trip money, and I set up automatic transfers on my paydays and DH's paydays. :cool1:

I wonder what Dave Ramsey would think about the orange savings account. ... :scratchin

i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ING!

And agree with everyone else - the only negative is that is does take a long time to transfer money between your "regular" bank account and your ING account.

When I opened my ING account I deposited $10. I haven't made any additional deposits. A few days ago I withdrew $130 and applied that to my Pop Century reservation. I'd say ING is a very good thing!!! ::yes:: :jumping1:
