So funny about the red hair. I have red hair and both my parents don't, and my mother always told me to tell people when they ask, that it was just Rusty Pipes!

One day when I was little, my mom had some girl friends over, and they were all saying, where did she get her red hair, and my mom was giving the old Rusty Pipes speal, and then the oil burner man came in with a head of the most glaring red hair, and they all burst out laughing!

I thought for sure that I would have kids with red hair and both have dirty blonde, and my husband has dark brown hair.

There is no way I would hand out cards because of my sons disability. It would be like apologising. Have you ever seen a cancer sufferer handing cards out to explain their condition. I find the idea ridiculous.

Here's a story, when Daniel had his naso gastric tube in people always stared. One day in a restaurant I had enough, this family were looking constantly, so I grabbed Daniel took him over and sat him on my knee at their table, they were so embarrassed when I told them that if they were that interested we might as well sit with them! I tell you, that worked better than any card..

I wouldn't hand out a card either. I did have one very nosey person in line who kept complaining to her dh about why it wasn't right that I had a stroller in line when they couldn't bring their stroller in line. Finally, I turned around and told her that my son was disabled and needed a stroller. She shut up in a hurry and her dh looked like he wanted to shrink and hide.

kevin harrison, my niece has a very rare disease and people are so rude when they stare. It is unbelievable!
