I guess the next "benchmark" this weekend of 30 days out will be the the next possible date we may get some communication. Doubt they will do anything before that. 🤬

Can't check in yet for the Aug 9 sailing. We booked a VGT rate and haven't even gotten a stateroom assigned yet.

Not having a GT stateroom (vs gty) at this stage was pretty standard pre pandemic. GT rooms typically get assigned 7-10 days out

This morning at 8:52 we received a communication from our Travel Agent (Costco) to complete our online check in. We are booked on the 9/4 Fantasy cruise. Seemed a little strange this far out... but when clicking on the link I keep getting a 504 error that the service is temporarily unavailable. I thought online check in typically was around 30 days out? Anyone else get this? If the link works, I will update.
Please keep us posted. I am on a later Fantasy sailing and would be interested to hear that things are starting to move forward!

I also got an email from Costco travel to check in for our 8/20 and 8/23 cruises. Went to the DCL app and you can’t check in. It only said to check in 30 days before your English staycation cruise.

Check-in messages aren't good indicators. I got those for 2020 cruises that were eventually cancelled.

I think I did too, but them coming back is a good indication that we are at least heading in the right direction.

When did they announce their UK cruises? Didn't they give a few months notice?

While we wait...a rare sight from Port Canaveral. Sunset over the DreamView attachment 587918

Here's hoping for a Friday announcement! (Tomorrow is 31 days out from Aug 9th)

Hope so. Perhaps, with the 30-day mark falling on a weekend, they will communicate something a day earlier...or more likely, make us wait until Monday. :hourglass

I just checked my online check-in page for my Sept 3rd Dream, and the language has changed. It used to say 30-days for UK staycation, others will find out as you get closer, etc, etc. New language as of today:

Online Check-In
If you've paid in full for your upcoming cruise, begin checking in online 30 days prior to setting sail. When you do, you can fill out cruise documents, register the kids for youth clubs and select a port arrival time, as you'll need one before you make your way to the cruise terminal.

They definitely used to call out the UK staycation in that section. Makes it seem like they are getting ready for Dream sailings to check in.

I'm staying up til midnight! ;)
Good Luck! Let us know how it goes. In the past, I have been able to register for things like Palo on the appropriate day at midnight, but the "check-in" sometimes doesn't become available until 2am or later.

I really hope Disney send some sort of email to you today.

And I should add, I don't think that being able to check in definitely means we are sailing, I'm just curious to see how it goes. And I want to know if Platinum guests will need to choose a PAT. I'm used to not having to, and getting there early. I don't want to lose out on that if it changes. :teeth:

Thanks! And me too! I am stalking my email today. ;)

We are sailing august 20 and 23 on the dream. Just checked my online check in on the app and it still mentions the UK staycations.

I believe it's only changed on the website as of now.
