Hi guys,

I am going to Orlando in March for a few weeks and would really like to meet with someone from Disney to discuss a few ideas and options and also to look at locations and so on.
I am not looking at actually getting married until 2011 but as I live in the UK it is not really an option to keep flying out to the States.
Is this something I will be able to arrange and if so, how do I go about it?

I have so many ideas for my wedding thanks to all of you who have been kind and selfless enough to share your wedding details x

When we went down in June we had an informal meet with our Wedding Consultant. We discussed what we want and while we didn't scope out locations, she would have happily taken us.

Just call up and ask for to schedule a site visit!

I went in August for a site visit. I called the main number and was called back about 2-3 days later. We spoke about what I wanted and which wedding would be best for me, Escape or Wishes. We decided on a Wishes wedding and then when I realized that I would be in Orlando on vacation the next month I asked if we could come in for a site visit to see some of the ceremony and reception venues.

I am doing this in October. When I called at my 18 month mark to get the planning started I asked if I could visit some of the wedding venues when I was there for vacation. The appointment is supposed to take about 2 hours, and they are only offered at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. When I followed up with an e-mail they said in that time you can view 2-3 locations. You will meet with the Wedding Consultant to discuss potential venues and prioritize what you would like to see. If a location is booked with a group, then we cannot look at that venue. Oh, you can also bring up to 3 people with you to look at the locations.

That's fantastic news-how exciting.

There are a couple of places I'd really like to see, such as WP, SBP and perhaps Sago Cay.

I will give Disney a call in the next few months then and hopefully get something pencilled in for March. Will be a real bonus and a great addition to our holiday if we can start thinking about our wedding!!

Hi Claire.

We are getting married March 2011 and are in WDW for vacation in 2 weeks time. :)

Back in July I contacted DFTW and set up a site visit. We are going to view 3 locations with our co-ordinator.

They only do site visits for Wishes weddings though.

I’m not sure yet whether we will go for an Escape or Wishes-all depends on cost etc. Still, Disney don’t need to know that do they!!
