We have been to WDW approx 25 times but only made it west to DL once. Well, DH has a company trip to Hawaii and we have arranged for 3 nights at DL.

Most MidWesterners would say, "Great...10 days in Hawaii!". We immediately said, "Great.... a plane change at LAX! Let's stay awhile at Mickey's Place before doing the hula!" What can I say....... our whole family loves Mickey's parks.....

We have no choice but to be at DL on the weekend of Nov. 3. Our plane lands around 11:30pm on Friday and we leave for Hawaii at 11am on Monday. (A weekend at DL is better than not being there at all, right?)

My questions:

1) Any ideas about the park attendance? Is it busier on the weekends? Which park should be do on which day? (We will be staying on site, so hopping is a definite!

2) We have decided against the Paradise Pier because of the noise levels. My DH and DS are light sleepers and I don't want to risk starting our trip on a grouchy note. After searching the site, I don't have a good comparision in mind between the DL and the DC reosrts. We usually stay at the Boardwalk, Contemporary, and Old Key West at WDW. Actually we have stayed at all of the luxury resorts, so comparisions would be appreciated. We have no physical disabilities and our family consists of 2 "adults", a 14 and a 8 yr old. Character meals are not necessary.

Looking forward to November!

Early November is one of the better months for lower attendance. The weekends are always crazier than weekdays, but let's work with what you have.

I've never experienced noise staying at the PP. I haven't stayed inside the DCA yet, but closer access to the parks looks inviting! The DL hotel is very fun. We stayed at Poly Concierge in January, & I think the concierge here is probably not as useful. The quality of the rooms at DL are similar to WDW.

11:30 p.m. arrival is pretty late to do early entry the next day. There is no early entry on Sunday. The attendance at DCA is always less than DL, so if you're getting a late start on Saturday, do DCA. I read your comment about character breakfasts: if you slept really late, Goofy's kitchen is a fun place to "hang out" for lunch or dinner.

If you're into park comparisons, skip DCA. My family & I thought DCA was magical, because we don't compare DL to WDW. Because "not comparing" is really tough for most people, we don't know others who are clambering to go back to DCA.

They had about 5 attractions at DCA that I couldn't compare to any other park. We're really looking forward to when the Main Street Electrical parade returns. DCA was a photographic mecca for us. There were only about 3 rides my pre-schooler couldn't ride.

I hope you have a wonderful time. The weather here in early November is definately a "magical" factor for us. It's usually around 70, mostly clear, rarely rain.
