Inflatable Lawn Decorations

I dont like them but every year I am tempted to buy the disney ones from disneyshopping.com

I don't mind the inflatables but I saw this at a house and I thought the nativity inflatable was a bit tacky. Maybe b/c it was surrounded by a bunch of other ones. jmo!

i think that one would look good by itself in a yard surrounded by the goldish colored lights or even in front of a church. just a thought :)

One comment to the person who said that at least it's not trash or junk in their yards, I beg to differ; It looks a heck of a lot like trash during the day when you see pile upon pile of the deflated fabric littering what could've been a beautiful, snow-covered neighborhood.

Okay, rant over. For now at least!
That was me. Do they only stay inflated for so long or something? :confused3 We don't have any inflatables in our neighborhood that I've seen so I can't say I've ever seen an inflatable "deflated".

they dont stay inflated or deflated all the time. You plug them into an outlet or extension cord when you want them up and inflated. When you want them off for the night just unplug the cord, easy as that :)

Usually during the day people turn them off and it just lays there in a heap until they put them back on again. I don't know if I'm cranky today or what, inflatables just seem to get on my nerves! Maybe if there just weren't sooo many of them everywhere you turn.

I have one in my yard and just got it this year, it's Eeyore with reindeer horns pulling Pooh and Tigger in a sleigh. I like it :flower:

Ohhhh, I gotcha. Yeah, I can see how that wouldn't look too good, especially if there were a lot of them. I think I might be a bit cranky today too and I don't even know why :confused3

In my neighborhood, most of the inflatables are up during the day and night. But then, we do live on the "good" side of the trailer park:rotfl2:

I just don't like the inflatable thingies... I think because they're so BIG. They just seem completely out of proportion with everything else. I prefer more understated decorations, myself!

Okay, I admit it, we have an inflatable in our front yard. It is Snoopy sitting on his dog house. We are the only ones on our street with an inflatable and I think it's cute. When we bought it, I mentioned to my DH that I was worried because it isn't sophisticated at all :rotfl: We decided it was fun and we like it. I only paid $50 for it, so if we only use it for a couple years, it will be fine.

Okay, I hate inflatables, but I did see one house that had one like yours (Snoopy on doghouse), and it was really cute . Of course, they had the sense to only put one inflatable, since the yard isn't all that large. I've seen some people whose yards are smaller than my office with like five inflatables, and I think the fact that it's too "busy" is what makes it look tacky.

Stinkerbell, I'm not going to quote that b/c it's so big... but Oh MY GOSH. I can't even imagine.

I think I'd run around with a big ole needle :rotfl2:

That's a lot of limpness. :earseek:

Wonder if the neighbors got fed up with the overload and attemped to take care of things.

It's possible, but it's awfully cold to be out deflating Rte 44 :teeth:
Granted 9 of the inflatables lived at just one house.

Gotta love the fact that they are behind the chain link fence... nothing says Christmas like waiting to escape from Alcatraz!!!

And, although I hate to see them deflated half the time, the people who leave them on all night make me crazy... this is the only time of year I can sleep with my windows open... listening to those all night gets old fast!
