I've been playing VMK since April. I've been playing long enough and traded enough that I now have at least one of everything in the game that I want (this includes Pirate Quest, Mansion Quest, all current DLR/WDW Quest, costumes, hats, and so on). The most expensive thing I have is a Sparrow Costume (traded for). Of the expensive things I have but 1 of each, but I have most of them. These items are not for trade as I worked too hard to get them. I have no beta. I do not have Stitch Hat or Green Flips or that Tomorrowland pin...
I do not have Inferno.
Inferno is my Holy Grail.
I have gathered my existing items by using DLR visits (I'm an AP) and trading many common/lesser rare for medium rare. Multiple med rare for higher rare, etc. Working my way up the food chain.
Now that I have "one of everything" - I want to turn my attention towards an Everest and get Inferno. I understand it was recently retired, so that's going to make my job more difficult, but I also read Yavn say it will be released again next year. So by next year (if not sooner) I want to have an Inferno Offer ready. So here are my Questions:
Has anyone out there been able to successfully trade for an Inferno? What did you offer?
Has anyone out there traded away an Inferno? What did you get?
Actual links to successful threads would be great!
I'm not looking for examples of what people have offered unless the trade was succesful. No offense intended, but every day there are new offers out there, but I've never seen a successful thread. Also trying to avoid the Urban Legends ("I heard a guy traded an Inferno for Gold Ears!"). Actual participants in, or links to, successful trades, if they're out there, would be great.
I'm going to be starting over trying to up-scale the "for trade" things I have left over and turn them into Inferno bait. But I don't know exactly what to aim for. I have a few nice things set aside as a start to my offer (I have a Mansion Clock, Fire Window, Pirate Couch and 50th Quest). I'm looking for ideas of things to add to that.
