Infant float in pools?

I think I know the answer to this, but I thought I'd throw it out to everyone before I call Disney and ask.

Does Disney allow inflatable tubes/seats for infants in the resort pools? I'm not talking about a huge boat or dragon, just a little inflatable ring with a plastic seat (~ $2.00 at Target).

Not that we'd leave him alone in it for a second, but our son loves to splash and it would be nice not to have to clutch him in the big pool. He can splash it up with the best of them in the kiddie pool.

Just wondering....

I've used mine at both the Poly and WL and haven't had a problem.

We brought and tried to use one at DVC Vero Beach and were told by the life guard that they weren't allowed. Instead, we were provided with an "approved" flotation device for infants (a type of vest, as I recall).

We have used ours at several pools at WDW, always asking the lifeguards first. We were told that the "official" policy is that they are only allowed if the child is technically sitting in the floatation device. ie. ours was a little boat-thing that actually had 2 leg holes and a little seat. A gentleman nearby was not allowed to use the floatation "ring" he had with him because it had no seat.
