how crowded are the infant centers? Also, are the only rocking chairs in the nursing areas? I was wondering if this could be a napping option for my dd who will be almost 2 on our trip. She desperately needs naps and I'm hoping we won't have to leave the parks each day for a nap.

I have never seen them that crowded, a good amount of people but nothing crazy.

I only visited at Epcot and MK.

I know there are private rooms at MK don't recall at Epcot. But I didn't use them so not sure what is in them. I'm not sure they would work for napping as there is a tv with a movie playing people coming in and out, etc.

Will your DD nap in the stroller? We had a lot of success with stroller naps on the last trip.

I do not remember rocking chairs outside of nursing area but with the TV and other kids would not plan on napping there. do not think you would be allowed to tie up a nursing room for a couple hours so your child could nap as there are not that many and other mothers are going to need for nursing. how would you feel having to wait for a nursing room so another mother could let her child sleep?

Like others have said, they definitely aren't set up for naps. They're calmer than the middle of main street, obviously, but there's still a lot going on in there. If you need 20 minutes to get out of the sun and take a break, they're perfect. If you're looking for a two hour nap, it's not your solution.

Definitely need to be coming up with a better solution for naps.

Our 2 year old napped in a stroller, even though we never expected her to. You might be surprised, or plan on going back to the resort. It sucks, but that's the way it goes bringing little kids. Tends to revolve around them.

We have been with our 4 kiddos and they would all get tired enough to sleep for a bit in the stroller. I didn't think they would but even a few months ago my 5 year old would take short naps as we strolled. And he hasn't napped since before his 2nd birthday at home. Disney just has a way of wearing them out . I don't think the care centers are a place to take them to sleep. We have never been the family to leave the park for naps either. Just for us it's so much stress and wasted time going back and forth. And we most days are open to close people. We do schedule a day in the middle for rest and swimming and early bed times to help recharge us all. You will quickly figure out what is best for your family.enjoy your trip!

We've had good luck, especially at the magic kingdom, with using transportation for naps. A hop on the monorail and just ride around and around and around. Or the boats between MK and TTC - they were so nice to us one day and just chatted with me while my son slept and we made four back and forth trips on the boat.

Let your DD sleep in the stroller, if shes tired enough she will pass out. It's such a waste of time to wait for her to sleep in the baby care center. Plus I don't really think that is what they are for. All three of mine would crash in the stroller, never had a problem.

The train in MK is great for this...my DS3 sleeps on this thing all the time! Mom and Dad may be caught napping as well!

The rocking chairs are only in the nursing rooms, nursing mothers only. There was a thread on here not too long ago (within the last 6 months?) about the rules posted outside the nursing rooms at the childcare centers.

There are rocking chairs outside Hall of Presidents at MK, used to be some out on Tom Sawyer's Island as well. Or you could bring a stroller that reclined. Perhaps try weaning off the need to rock to sleep before you go, so you don't need one?
