Inexpensive sunglasses for kids

Can you please tell me where you have found inexpensive sunglasses for children ages 9-12 that were decent quality, but seemed relatively inexpensive for quality?

Every year I buy 5-10 pair of sunglasses to keep in the car for anyone to use, I get them at the Dollar Store.

Children's Place. They seem to have a wide variety including some bigger ones that cover more of their faces which I like. If you catch them at a sale and with a coupon (check retailmenot or the like), you can really get some good deals.

Sunglasses at the Children's Place were $3.00 each (yesterday) from infant; age 2-4; 4-7; and 8-14. They had lots of colors and were separated by girls and boys. They also had a rack of 4th of July sunglasses.

For older kids, my son bought the brownish "High def" sunglasses at 7-11 for $10. I assume they are some sort of knock offs, but they work pretty amazing.

If you have an LL Bean outlet near you, I would try that. I found some good quality kid suns for around 8 bucks a few summers ago.

I go to Five Below. They have nice "chunky" plastic sunglasses that have turned out to be remarkably sturdy. They haven't broken one yet. I usually pick up a pair for every member of the family... though my husband isn't too fond of the rainbow glasses I got him.

I'll have to check out that LL Bean outlet suggestion, sounds promising for something a little less flamboyant! (Who am I kidding, my kids want rainbows and preferably sparkles.)

I picked up some from the Disney Store for $2.99 just this weekend. They have swim wear and beach towels on clearance as well right now.

Be careful when buying cheap sunglasses. Please make sure they have the proper UV protection (UV A and B) because if they don't you are causing more harm to your eyes due to your pupils being dialated and taking in more UV rays.

Good point. For the record, my Five Below silly glasses had stickers on them saying they were UV protecting. (And while you're there, there were TONS of sunscreens in the next aisle.)
