Inexpensive hotel near POR

My family is booked at POR and I'm looking for a very inexpensive hotel for my DD and her boyfriend. They plan on ubering/lyfting over to POR each morning to join us for the day then they will return to their hotel just to sleep.

What would be the nicest cheap hotel close to POR?

Any uber/lift hints would be appreciated too!

There's quite a few hotels on Palm Pkwy- which is pretty close to POR. We've stayed at the Courtyard Vista- there's also a Comfort Inn there which gets good reviews. The Hotel Plaza Blvd. hotels are worth a try as well. There's some on Apopka-Vineland Rd- Fairfield, Ramada. These aren't going to be really cheap- I think there will be some cheaper in the 192 area, but that will be farther from POR.

Of course, "nice" and "cheap" tend to be inversely proportional to each other, so on the average, the more you get of one, the less you get of the other.

Well stated. There is a Red Lion Inn on the 192 that I've often seen on some travel websites for as low as around $55 per night. I haven't stayed there, but I've seen comments that for a cheaper place, it is pretty decent. Then again, people looking for a nicer place might not be satisfied with it. If the price range of around $80-$100 per night is acceptable, then I agree with the above poster that one of the nearby Comfort Inns could work (or their sister properties, Quality Inn, which tend to cost slightly less than Comfort Inns).
